Congratulations to the PNG team on a great game. Last night, I witnessed something special, but it happened after the game on the Vidor track side of the field. PNG's #22 Logan LeJeune, bringing his mother with him, came over to compliment Maverick Quirante as a fellow athlete and person. He introduced his mother and was gracious and respectful to Maverick and his family, and by extension, to the Vidor team. Hats off to this young man and his family for being a gracious winner after being a fierce competitor on the field. I think we need to keep in mind that the quality of a person is found in the quality of the person, and not measured by what town we are from, our win-loss column, out stats, nor our talent level. Although those may factor in developing into successful and contributing adult citizens, all that is just for fun... spice for life. Being an elite athlete, LeJeune, could easily have gone back to his locker room, teammates, friends and home to bask in his great victory, which it was. But in his winning, he stopped to acknowledge his fellow competitor's efforts... what an impressive young man. I wish the best to LeJeune and his team from here on out!

You Vidor guys are a classy bunch. I say this first You guys have one hell of a team. You will be in the playoffs and possibly a game or two in.... Love the Vidor way of playing when it works. 18 ) The bashing of any particular coach, player, referee, etc will not be tolerated. This includes issues involving their personal lives, coaching/playing style or performance, past experiences,etc.
 
what team do you represent?  In your first two post you talk about watching game film on both teams.  So you haven't seen them play in person?  Your post reflect that you don't know every much ether team.  Bashing kids especially by their number is the lowest of the low.  I hope you grow up soon.

Well, your post has some interesting history on your community.  Personally, I enjoyed the lesson.  I love history.  And though I'm not cognizant of the football history between these two teams in the last 26 years, I saw many games prior to 1990.  Was PNG good most of the time?  Almost always.  When Doug Ethridge was coaching them in the 70's, they were referred to as the University of PNG.  I also remember many games when they never pulled their starters, even though leading by 50 points.  PNG had a back named Jeff "the Jet" Bergeron, I think he made All State, but he could fly.  I was watching the game and kept waiting for them to pull him.  Don't remember the exact score, about 64-6, but Jeff scored that last TD.  Point is, for many older folks, they remember those many time when the score was ran up on Vidor.  Fair?  You bet.  Classless?  You bet.  Not blaming the community of PNG, just explaining why many don't respect your Honor, Pride and Tradition.  It's not jealousy.  Here endeth the lesson.

Let's make this real clear... I do not like PNG.... period.  Probably stems back to 1978 when you turned the lights out on our side, after we beat you.  Thanks to that I got to watch my 7 month pregnant mother stumble down the steps trying to leave.  Or was it the kids throwing rocks as us after the game.  Look... I was young, but it happened and apparently you haven't changed.  You are still the cry babies of the Golden Triangle.  
Let's say the hand of God reaches down and Vidor actually defeats a team the 85 Bears could not....what will be your excuse?  
I think most of the area hoping you lose because of your arrogance.  There are some respectful Indians fans, but you are way too few and far between.  
The odds are against us, but I prefer it that way.  A Vidorian is always an underdog and it makes victory that much more sweet.
