I thought the same thing. Also I believe PNG started playing in 1925 and Vidor started playing in 1949. 24 year head start. But those wins and loses don’t mean nothing tonight! New ball game tonight! Hope the field held up.

Biaplayer, just glad Vidor isn't playing Barbers Hill so we don't have to listen to their "better than thou" Supt chastise Vidor's facilities.  Which a year later, I've thought of my dream HS football matchup.  On a Wed, Thur, and Friday deluge, a Friday night game, BH at Livingston.

The point of the comment is simple. Your arrogance rubs people  the wrong way. Example: "butt hurt because your team sucks". Bro, your team hasn't won anything. You have given "hours of research", that turns out to be useless. For the last two years you go on and on about how great Crosby is all year, and they get trashed in the 2nd round. Data is great and wonderful, but not always accurate for high school kids. Every team in SETX may "Actually suck", but Crosby is far from the Gold Standard. In the grand scheme of Texas High School Football, they are just as irrelevant as our sucky teams in SETX.

I simply made a statement that he’s the last one left and is a good athlete. As opposed to y’all making Riggs out to be Jerry Rice.  Wish we were more balanced on offense but this is the offense Matthews wants to run. By the way I don’t think Matthews thinks his players are stupid. Did you know that Navy runs this same offense. I promise you that you don’t get into the Naval Academy being stupid. There 5-1 with that 1950’s offense. I doubt Navy’s coach thinks that his players are stupid. We are well aware that we are the underdog. But the kids play for the Love of the game and they will leave it all on the field this Friday. Have a nice day Mr. All Knowing!

I have to say our front seven and DB’s are much improved from last year. Our offense is a lot younger this year but improving week by week. Hopefully we have 2 of our starting running backs back on the field from injury this Friday. I know our defense will have there hands full but I think there up for the challenge. Our defense is definitely not afraid to hit and wrap up. There will be some hard hitting this Friday I promise you. Come on Friday!

Quirante on Riggs, you better dial up 911 because he wont be able to contain him. Riggs is a monster. If Matthews doesn't put two on Riggs it will be a scoreboard malfunction because PNG will Blow the bulbs out lol. PNGs receiving staff this year hasn't missed a step from last year, although against PAM the first two possessions they couldn't catch the ball. Besides that they have been money! I like the matchup of our offense against your defense. I am curious to see how PNG tries to stop Vidors offense. A run heavy offense like theirs eats up the clock as they move the ball. I expect the game to go by fast. Not gonna predict the score but im sure both teams will find the endzone frequently .

That's something we can join together on. Go Stros. I have nothing but respect for the Pirates. Coach Matthews is a dying breed of coach. I have a great respect for him and what Vidor's teams have come to represent. Vidor is a town that has a history and Coach Matthews has rid any semblance of that from the school and program and helps raise some great kids by teaching them the way things should be and not what this towns history would try and suggest. Hats off to coach Matthews and his wonderful leadership of young men.
