Following your logic Lefty, if it's such an accomplishment winning a couple of playoff games as 'one of the smallest 3A teams' in the state, then K'ville's success last year as 'one of the largest teams' in 2A was a forgone conclusion.

This thread is just dripping with irony. On one hand you have K'ville posters gripping about a lack of respect from a deep East Texas web site yet they've already placed themselves in a postion to be playing one of them in the 3rd round. Doesn't K'ville have to play someone those first 2 rounds? Don't know much about CC but I know Anahuac will show up. Don't they deserve some of that same respect? Won't comment on Newton because they've actually had more than one decent season the the last decade.

Of course, this is a business. Anyone notice all the ads? Every post or web site hit means more revenue to the 'owner'. Nobody is maintaining this site because of the kindness of their heart. It's all about the money. Posters are the customers. Treat your customers poorly, they'll soon lose interest and revenue will decline. Won't be long until a competitor will arrive on the scene and revenue will fall even further. In my opinion, the constant threats of 'you'll get a vacation' or 'how about two weeks off' are demeaning to the customers. Enforce the rules but please don't talk down to the posters. What does it take to be a moderator? An advanced degree in web development and Cisco routing or just someone with plenty of extra of time on their hands?

You know when you're having a bad year when, as the playoffs approach, your team's board thread is about what uniforms look best.

Can anyone from Hardin explain this to me? Why would the school district install that cheap carpet on the football field while they have 'blue tarps' still covering the holes in the schools roof? Was if for that 'big run' they planned in football this year?

OK Buc...Rule #1...Never try and use logic or reasoning with most Hardin posters. When you beat the dog out of them year in, year out on the way to the district championship, you just have a 'decent' team. The one year they manage to squeak out a 7 point win in the final minutes, they 'dominated' you. That's one of the reasons they've only won 1 district title in their entire history. And those guys are getting awful close to collecting Social Security.

Be careful there Buc. You have the second coming of the New York Giants heading into town. Hide the children! They're a machine. I don't know why EC would even show up. After all, it could get ugly quick.

EC can do other things, but against Hardin it wasn't necessary. Hardin is very soft up the middle and EC put 42 on them without having to get fancy. Against Anahuac they'll need to mix it up to be successful. I like EC's chances but it could go either way. EC 28 AP 27

Hey clueless, Hardin is just another game on the schedule. Didn't look that fired up to me. They were prepared though and that's what good coach's do, have their teams prepared. May not win them all but it won't because they're 'extremely relaxed'.

Did anyone catch the posts this week by the Hardin folks saying they 'held out' whats his name to save him for the rest of district? They wanted to make sure they didn't get matched up with Newton in the playoffs. This after they just got beat 55-0 in their 1st district game! I'm sure Newton sure looks sweet right about now. They give a whole new meaning to 'delusional'.
