Saw Woodville at EC. Woodville has talent and I don't think that's the problem, it's numbers. Hot and humid, Woodville has 22 players and EC has 37. Looked like most of the Woodville's better players were going both ways every series and EC only few, none full time. It was a one point game at the half, all EC the second half. By the middle of the 4th quarter the Woodville players could barely get back on their feet after each play. I felt their pain. Close early then Newton wins by 20.

Nice spelling by the way there SFA65. Didn't Newton beat Buna at Buna by a good spread while EC beat Newton in Newton by 10? Yes, the undefeated district champs (09) get no respect and Buna / Anahuac get to talk like they're playing for the championship. However. that road goes through Winnie. And I was at the Woodville game. They're going to beat one or maybe both Buna / Anahuac.

SFA, have you been to Hardin? Last time I went they were laying down a new carpet on their field but nobody was working on the blue tarps that were covering the classrooms. I bet those tarps are still there. And it's not like the field made that awesome 'pro passing attack' pay for the missing roof.

Bull. You're taking away something special from the boys at EC. It's the same team as last year ...EC is the better team this year. They all worked reallly hard to make this happen. EC has the upmost respect for Newton, make no mistake about it.

Yippee! It's good to see the lovable losers (Hardin posters) are back. Every year it's the same thing...play a weak pre-district schedule then talk down to another school like you're Newton or something. Last year was the best because if I recall they opened district losing 100-6 to EC/Anahuac after running their mouths. I've got a suggestion, why don't you actually win something before telling us how 'well coached and disciplined' you are? They may well be but it's a 180 degree turn around from last year. What's changed? The good news is they'll disappear just as fast as they arrived after a couple of beat downs by Anahuac, Newton, EC, etc.

The way I understand the old rule, when the 12+ men in the huddle was put into place was to keep the offense from trying to decive the defense. Like having 3 wide outs and 2 tight ends in the huddle and at the last moment taking the tight ends out. The defense couldn't adjust from run to pass. At that time it was an automatic illegal procedure. Now it's only a procedure call if a play is run. Hense the time out means there was no attempt to decive and no foul.
