sigh. Don't know what to say. Guess I pull for the neighbors now. :'(
Pull for Lumberton, no one else likes us.
We will be pulling for ya'll and all 204A teams in playoffs. Best of luck
-
Be there as always win or lose, been there in good years and the bad, but i would like some new blood in there at the coaching positions
Ditto
-
I don't see how you can blame this on the coach. Take a real look at your players. Do they really look like they have the size or speed to be a 4A contender?
I'm looking at more than just this year.
-
Sad shame! Can't even make the top 4. Time for a change?
come on now, everyone has their off years
We have been making the playoffs about every three years, not exactly what I call a good program. I have been saying we need a change for years. No, I wasn't one of the ones who was dogging the coach the first couple of games last year then turned into one of his fans when we started winning. Most coaches would have won with that group of kids. Can't anyone see the pattern:Get down a couple years and the fans get stirred up for change then boom, along comes a strong group of kids. Then guess what, safe for a few more years while being mediocre at best. His time is simply just past, time for a change.

35-14 L-Train.
Ditto, not the kids faults either.
-
Good luck to Jason Thibodeaux and the Sharks! Ya'll are in our thoughts and prayers.

Not trying to be negative on my team but I honestly have to pick Vidor. The Pirates have a good team this year and the Indians are struggling.
-
im going out on a limb and saying livingston over NED.......even though i know they dont play this week i think livingston will beat NED........one thing i know for sure NED wont be able to pass the ball on those two corners they have i think the lions might have the best secondary in the district
Nederland will be able to throw against Livingston.Too many targets to stop. I know Livingston got two picks for scores against PNG, but PNG did manage to move the ball through the air against them.
-
Vidor - Hate to admit but thats how I see it We may not win another one this season
Nederland - Could be a good one but the Dogs look tough and a balanced offensive attack
Lumberton
Livingston

Ok, you kid, but I ain't kiddin bout the next five years. Should be fun to watch.
PN-G is always up for the challenge. When it's the Bulldogs VS the Indians, it's anyones game to win (or lose).
Best of luck to your Bulldogs. Hope to see us both advance far in the playoffs!!
Nederland C O Wilson A Team 46, Groves MS A Team Braves 0
Nederland C O Wilson B Team 16, Groves MS Braves B Team 0
Go Bullpups Go
Have ya'll played PNMS yet?
-
LCM is very young, this could be ugly.
-
I thinks its pretty safe to say no one from Ned is a PNG wannabe and the same true for PNG being Ned wannabe's. I have to congratulate Nederland on an impressive win. No, excuses they beat us straight up and handily to say the least.
-
Can't see this one being played, at least not this weekend.
-
This has turned into one of the best post count pad parties I have ever seen.
-
I don't put much in it (7 on 7) but glad to hear our passing game is looking good.
-
Nederland
PNG
last two will go the Beaumont schools just not sure which order
-
No, it was Nederland. Nederland was up by 6 with 40 seconds left and got beat on a 80 something yard touchdown pass. I was there, it was 89 and that was the year WOS was #1 and PNG was in the top 10, PNG had McGill.
You must be thinking of a different game Penny. In 1989 PNG won by a score of 41-7. That game started with a Ron McGill 76 yard TD run on the first offensive possesion. PNG's secondary took over from there and intercepted Mr English many times that night. I'm trying to remember which game it was you are remembering, but can't. Checking all the scores and can't figure it.
Although one pretty good one was when it came down to a Joey Price 40 yard FG(which he didn't miss many) to win or lose and it was wide right by about a foot,Nederland wins. The best game that gets my vote is the PNG Shertz Clemens Semi Final game at Kyle Field. Dustin Long led an awesome final drive to close the deal.

Would be a good move for Lamarque. Imagine what he would do with the talent there. Ouch, thats scary.
-
Newmann or no Newmann we should make the top 4 this year.
I agree, Nederland should be the preseason favorite. After that I believe the next three are up for grabs: PNG, Central,Ozen,Livingston. The group of kids the Lumberton folks have been waiting for to come through are graduating in a couple of months. But, who knows sometimes winning breeds more winning.
-
This is a joke. 3 is too many already.
-
Nothing wrong with a little trash talking from either side, just got to take your crow if you lose. Lumberton lost to us ( their only loss)and was good sports about it.They ate their crow like good boys. They do truthfully have a very impressive team, we could play them again and again and it could go either way the same as was that night. This should be a good game, too close to call.Gotta say ROLL TRAIN,MAKE US PROUD.
-
That is correct Hemmings did most of the middle duty. When you got a back as big and strong as Hemmings you got to with him in the middle.Wright did run traps a little but yes most of his carries were to the outside.
-
Dayton by three touchdowns, I don't think ANYONE will stop them. They are peaking at the right time.I feel a state title for 224A, GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!
-
Hooks,Barbay,Neumann in that order.
