For what it’s worth, it doesn’t seem like there was THAT much in the final play.  Guy was bringing him down right about on the out of bounds line, two Silsbee guys running in kinda bumped into each other as they were slowing up and then the kid who was making the tackle’s legs took them both out and they ended up falling into the players involved.  Seems like the bench was a bigger issue there than anything else.

Correct. It was a horrible freak accident that was caused when the player tried to jump over the bench.  There was nothing malicious or intentional.  Prayers for this kid!!!

I'm at the game and it is dead silence. Silsbee players hit a kid about 5 yards out of bounds  and he hit the track hard. I'm hearing that they are waiting on life flight or ambulance.

The Silsbee players clapping and taunting while the kid was being treated was classless. They refused to take a knee until about 10 minutes after the injury. The whole game was like that too. Fights, taunting, late hits, classless gestures from Silsbee the whole game.

Yes they were clapping because they had no idea a kid was seriously injured...the silsbee fans didn't know, and the refs obviously didn't either.  Silsbee kids came onto the field to line up and play, meanwhile the Bridge City fans were screaming obscenities at them. Once Silsbee understood what was happening, they went to their sideline and prayed for the player.  The hit was on the out of bounds line, 5 yards would have been in the Bridge City stands, there is a video of it so lying is pointless. Silsbee is praying that this kid fully recovers.

  3. Yes- and he was right about the Silsbee kids having "extra passion" because of how TACKY lumberton was after the game. The coach ran over to Silsbee's student section and taunted them, the Lumberton team DESTROYED our girls locker room that they dressed in. Spewed gatorade and water all over the place and due to some of the lockers having the holes like caging, ruined several of the soccer teams uniforms with the gatorade...it was a total mess...like they had won state or something. Now our kids had been out for 2 weeks with Covid and a few starters were still out, had not practiced or played in weeks...so there were several factors creating the perfect storm for Lumberton to win. They did win, and congrats to them for it, but all of that extra mess was uncalled for and classless!

Silsbee got some trash fans boyyy…they all over the court like they hit the shot

I know somebody from West Orange didn't call ANYBODY trashy! Silsbee has literally had to walk their kids to the bus since they have been in Junior high because grown folks who cannot take a L want to beat up children!!! Numerous occasions! If that isn't trashy i don't know what is.

Ima be honest We benefited  from teams not having  their  full roster due to Covid so we took advantage of a covid season like some more teams I know ..  also we  was the same team who  struggled and lost to lumberton and HF and came in 2nd in district .. we a year older and we got that swagger  back  that’s what I mean when I say we back .. beating the teams without doubt  that we should beat ..

Silsbee didn't benefit from teams being out due to COVID...Silsbee was a Team that was out due to COVID. The JV played 3 of their games last season- which is the ONLY reason Silsbee came in 2nd in district.  The game lost to Lumberton was 1st game back and the kids were not 100% and hadn't practiced or anything for 2 weeks.

And saw them play Silsbee then PA.  Played without Princess.  Still dominated Silsbee and PA.  Still lots to work on, but I love to see the 6’1” PG and a really good freshman guard that got like 8 steals vs Silsbee and like 10 vs. PA.  (2 quarter games with running clock). I say we’re poised for yet another deep playoff run.  Let’s see how it unfolds…

2 starters for silsbee, All-State point guard Monica Bottley and Erika Williamson were not playing due to concussion protocol. Would have been alot different had those two been playing.
