I want to rant for a sec,  while the National Anthem was being played,  some HJ Students wanted to laugh, cut up, anp play on their phones, being a United States Marine and a Vietnam Vet I was very upset by their actions,  if you don't want to place your hand over your heart that's fine. But SHUT YOUR MOUTH!!! Sorry guys had to get that off my chest..

Evadale is usually a good second half team. They come out at halftime and execute. but go Rebs!!!

In 24-2A West Hardin will play Deweyville for 2nd/3rd on 7pm Saturday at Spurger.

Good luck to both teams.  Back in the day playing at Spurger would mean not hearing the ball bounce.  Spurger had a carpeted gym, and you did not want to dive for a ball. New gym is really nice.

I haven't seen Broaddus.  We played WS, and they are pretty good.  They had some bigger kids and tried to work it in.  Their PG was injured and didn't play, but he is pretty quick.

I agree, Very talented ball club, but LPCA will be too much I think.

This game depends on which Sabine Pass team shows up.  They played hard against Evadale, but then next game, they might lose to a team they probably should have beaten.  If they play all out, they could surprise some folks in the playoffs.
Would love to see all four District teams start out with a win next week.

I think you're going to have to beat Evadale to make that happen.

My comment was about you getting bent out of shape for someone calling you out for incorrectly posting in a thread. Has nothing to do with your son. You want to make it out to be "The Millers against the World". Geesh
I didn't know I was required to hit the like button. It's something I never really got into doing.
Be proud. You should be. I have no problem with you posting that thread congratulating KJ. I just think you shouldn't get your feathers ruffled if someone questions why you were posting about KJ in a 2018 prospect thread.
Now, back to the topic of the thread. 2018 top area players

I'll take baseball over pumpkin ball any day lol. 

I think playing a weak district is bad for us. No real competition for 2 months. 

Hopefully this will be a more close of a game this time. I know the deweyville boys are eager to get payback against the rebels. But you never know what's going to happen. Good luck to all the players and staff and hope for a safe and clean game. Go Pirates!

Kid from Deweyville, Caleb Winkle, went toe to toe with both boys from SP. I think he deserves a little mention. 

Their boys were fast and very athletic. They weren't the best shooters, but made a lot of lay ups and freethrows. But both of those win games. Their attitudes got the best of them towards the end. But I was very impressed by them.
