  1. TD HUGHES 2 plays 81 total yards. 55 yard td run
  2. Yall better stop. Teacher just walked back in the classroom. Lol. Let's all communicate our hate for each other's team in an adult and tactful manner. There should be a huge Setxsports get together where everyone could hash out differences over brews lol
  3. Not off the top of my head but I could ask him whenever i talk to him again. The last time he ran that I am aware of was last year and he had a groin injury through a bit of the JV season. I'm sure he has been timed many times since. My best guess though at this time, I would give a range of 4.48-4.53
  4. I guess I gave Lee too much lol. I'm going off the fact that I have seen the guys take the foot off the pedal a few times this year. Get lax and anyone can make ya look stupid.
  5. That is all the better then, I would take it.
  6. Heck, we don't have our own thread and we are on everyone else's. I figure there will not be much convo in this thread but, this is our own. I predict a 49-14 W. Shug (Johnson) and Hughes keep things rolling and we head into Vidor undefeated. I also predict another McZeal TD. I'm going out on a limb but I think last game helped his confidence. Hopefully, that carries over to his hands. Go Tribe! Karate chops all around lol
  7. PN-G's band times things well, even if the selections are dated with dust. Cherokee does what is intended so that is cool. Growing up and in my mind still, Lincoln had the best and most entertaining band but those are distant, great memories. Being in New Orleans, I have the opportunity to see some of the greatest high-school bands in the country. Lots of choices, but St. Aug is my favorite. In fact, they just won a competition in Houston last year. Many of the Setx schools were there.
  8. I'm late of course but why do ya'll call the guy Xbox? Does he take his plays from Madden lol?
  9. Yeah it was a blowout. My cousin Jermaine was on that team. Wasnt it like 63-0 or did they score
  10. I remember watching Shanderrick as a kid. Awesome player. I miss the days of him, Calvin Roberts, Ricky Wilson, and Danny Gorrer,. Those teams had talent. Suggs had them boys right those last years.
  11. Yeah that's the next game I am making the trip from Nola for. I want to see this Vidor offense as I have never seen it run before. And of course, I always look forward to seeing baby bro have to elevate his game against competition. Vidor will be the most physical game we play this year. Not to say teams like Memorial or Ned aren't physical. They can air it out and attack in multiple ways. Vidor is seeking to punch you in the mouth for the entire game. PN-G defense must be physical and maintain their gap assignments, or it could be tough. The good thing is our run D is our best defensive asset
  12. R Lmao! Relax guys, our game is in two weeks!!! It's going to be one hell of a game.
  13. I agree. I love where I am from. I definitely don't look down on the school district. Every time I come back home I go to my grandparents house on the west side. That drive down Procter kills me. So much potential for business but it is barren save a few clubs and everything is moving towards hwy 365. You pretty much have to drive all the way to H-E-B on Gulfway for groceries if you live on that end, which inconveniences the elderly and the poor. Its a food desert on the West. Somebody said that they wouldnt be surprised if Valero buys the West side land in the coming years. I could see it in the future.
  14. I definitely could have done the same things finishing from PAM, but my parents made their decisions with the best intent and I do not have a problem with that. If I had my wish, I would have finished from Lincoln as did every single person in my family on both sides did. I always wanted to be a Bumblebee, but as the story goes it merged 3 years before I got to high-school.
  15. Self-hating? I get where you are trying to say but I think that was a little left field. I do not think you were referring to me or all those who do transfer so let me say that now. Again, I am very aware of myself and history. I finished from a Black University with honors, and have worked to to give back to my community in New Orleans through my fraternity and as a teacher and counselor among other roles. I just think if a parent thinks their kid can excel academically in a different environment, there is nothing wrong with that. Like I said, respectful disagreement I agree that academics should always be the primary focus. Most kids do not make it in sports so education is always the key.
  16. Time will tell. How was Lumberton this past week?
  17. That would be pretty exciting though, no lie.
