Way to play 'Stangs! Lookin' strong for the playoffs!

Although the 'Stangs have secured a playoff birth. I believe they still have a little something to prove heading into the playoffs...WO-S 68, HJ 63. Regardless, should be fun to watch!

I'm just a little concerned about the brutal WO-S non-district schedule...WOW!!! The 'Stangs are going to be very good on both sides of the ball with lots of senior leadership, but I'm not so sure about playing 5 outstanding ball-clubs for 5 straight weeks to start the 2010 season! If the injury bug bites, it could be a long bumpy road until district play. Let's see how ol' Dan plays this schedule thing out?!

Coach Newton has invested more than just his time on the court, but off the court as well with the kids at WO-S. He's got the program headed in the right direction! I look for the up-start Mustangs to make a legitimate push for the 3rd playoff spot and more. Good luck the rest of the way 'Stangs!

this ain't gonna to be a repeat of 86.  guaranteed!  ;D Boy... jealousy, wow!!! I can feel the love for WO-S, once again. These are high school student athletes. Anything can happen on route to a statechampionship! It's part of the joy of high school football! Any team, at anytime can hit their stride and get HOT, hence the 1986 comparison!!! You'd have to be an idiot to make any sort of "guarantees" regardless which school you support. WO-S will bring their best effort throughout the playoffs. Hopefully... your team will do the same. Go 'Stangs!!!

It'll be nice to see that stable full of healthy horses once again come round-one of the playoffs! Man, what a year so far; I don't think there's been a single week where we had at least 2-3 starters out because of injury. If I'm not mistaken, we've had as many as 5 starters out! Get-n healthy and planning on stayin' healthy!!!  ;D

I like the run (Wing-T) type offense that the Cats run. Will be an excellent test for the 'Stangs heading into the playoffs. WO-S by 20+.

It was a good game, not a great one (sloppy play in some respect on both sides of the ball). My biggest fear come playoff time is the poor execution of the WO-S "Special Teams". You continue to make the mistakes their making and you're one-n-done in the playoffs. You can't continue to give a good team (not to mention a playoff caliber team) a short field and expect to come out with a victory. i.e. the opening kick off to HJ lasnight; an ineffective kicking game (kick-offs, punting, bad deep snaps etc.) it's got to improve in a hurry or this will prove to be the end of the 'Stangs season. Most other aspects of their game are starting to come along. The defense had another superior performance! Overall grade: B+ on offense, A+ on defense and special teams D-. The final district game will be an excellent opportunity for the kids and coaches alike to work some kinks out before heading into the playoffs. Although the Bobcats suffered a tough loss against BC, they'll be ready to play, and play hard. I like the match-up overall and I expect the Cats to play ball for 4 quarters. In all actuality, the HJ game and the game Friday with O'Field have been a blessing in disguise for the 'Stangs young ballclub. I believe they'll be better prepared and more battle tested than in years past! Job well done to all the teams in 21-3A!!!
