1. BC defense was outstanding. CS had 1 big play that was the difference. Impressed with the play of the cards. A play here or there & it could have gone the way of BC. Outstanding season!
 2.
Where is Coldspring anyway?
In between Lake Conroe and Lake Livingston by a 'Cold Spring'.
 3.
Poor Cleveland...
I second that...
 4. I look for the Chain Gang to stop ‘em in their tracks. The WO-S ‘O’ is starting to click at the right time. I look for a 42-13 type of game in favor of WO-S. Go ‘Stangs!  :)
 5.
WO-S wins this one with no problems, GOOD LUCK in the playoffs!
Same here. Hope to see you guys later down the road. Best of luck!

Looks as if WO-S will have a great opportunity to see what some of the young guns can do before heading into the state playoffs.  :)
WOS should win comfortably & hoping no injuries to the HJ football/basketball players.
I agree. No injuries for either team would be a good thing.

I watched the French Buffaloes do it all the way to a State Title game.
I watched a 2000 WOS team that had very little offense in the regular season find a way win to all the way to the State Title game.  Ozen, Bay City, PNG and Nederland are the regular season games that come to mind.
Beat PN-G 7-0 that year.
Between that year and '97 and '87 were arguably the best defenses WOS has ever had. Looking at this year, were not getting the shutouts, but arent giving many points up. If we can get the offense on par then we could be a team to be reckoned with.
Looks as if the Chaingang is rounding into form along with the special teams play. The offense still has some work to do, but will be ready come playoff time! No worries here.  :)
 9. Mustangs get it done AGAIN. Somehow, someway with their 'D' & Special Teams play they will find a way. 2 outta 3 phases of the game won = a WIN.
 10.
hey WOS fans since you have seen both, who do you give the edge to OF or BC?
If the bobcats play the way the played against WO-S then the Cats have a chance. Will need to play their game...Ball Control. BC can score in a hurry. Can't afford to give up too many big plays! I still give the edge to BC. Give 'em heck Bobcats!
 11. Defense wins Championships. Having said that...simply due to the history of Mustang football and their over-all success, I'm saying Mustangs 20-12 over BC. Based on the new offense implemented etc., most of us Mustangs understood there just might be several low scoring affairs. And well, that's exactly what's happened! Looking forward to a fun night of Mustang football!  ;D
 12.
WO-S center quitting.  Interesting timing. My guess on Hooks sending his kids to BCISD is that he wanted them to have a quality education.
Starting center is out due to grades. The back-up center (was the starter, but lost the job). Which one left the team? Either way, it's never good to see a kid quit.
 13.
Was told a starter on WOS's offensive line turned in his equipment yesterday. What's up with that?
CT eliminating the problems. Getting back to the basics and REAL Mustang Football.
 14.
WHY is wo-s haveing a closed practice this week :( this was told to me on facebook lastnight whats going on looks like coach thompson is takeing up some of dan hooks  tricks  hummmmmmmmmm.i just cant understand why he would close the practice to the public
Unless you're anything other than a student athlete, trainer etc. or employee of WOCCISD, no one should be in attendance at practice. Coach T. is doing the right thing here. My opinion.
 15. Bridge City @ WOS who you got? Bridge City 76 (68.5%) West Orange Stark 35 (31.5%) No worries. At 4-3 the Mustangs deserve to be the under-dawg in this one. I have NO problem with that, nor should WO-S. Adds more fuel to the fire and stoke those HOT coals just ready to ignite!  ;)

The kids are playin' a 112%. Gotta go with the REAL WO-S Mustangs in this one. 112%
I don't think that is accurate.
You're gonna have a select few that don't give a 112%, but the majority of the kids do.

(working or not) Thank goodness for the defense/special-teams play. A play here & a play there & we might just be lookin' at 0-2 instead of 2-0 in district play. Thankful that the kids are 2-0 with a chance at a playoff spot. I've also noticed a select few of the WO-S coaches spending waaaayyyyy toooooo much time watching the ballgame. Not ALL of the coaches mind you...BUT a select few should reconsider spending a bit more time coachin' up the kids DURING the game and providing some much needed sideline motivation and leadership. I recall from back in the day how CT & other's would grab their group of players & make the necessary in-game adjustments. Not seeing' much of that these days. However, seein' LOTS of coaches with headsets on standin' and watchin'. Maybe I'm the only one seein' this? Here's to lookin' forward to a well played game next week!
these are outsiders trying to leave their "mark" on a legendary program be it good or bad... the sad thing is true mustangs are letting it happen!!
My point exactly. There are TRUE MUSTANGS still involved in the program that's gotta to step-up & take control.
I agree as well. You would think this would be an easy fix. Not so sure though...

 21.
Look for all you people that are upset that were not scoring 1,000 points a game!!!! Who gives a crap??? All that flashy stuff did was get us through district blowing people out and then we get in the playoffs and turn the ball over 10 times and lose!!! Believe it or not this is the best type of game plan to make deeper playoff runs! It might not be as exciting but it is a better game plan!! Just have to have the right people healthy and the right calls at the right time!!! And as a true mustang i will be the first to say i do not care if we win every game in district by 1 point!!! Wins are still wins to me baby!!!!
I agree  :)
 22.
This poll is a joke. Sealy beats stafford 37-27 and drops out of the poll and wos beats HF 22-12 and they move up two spots ???. Clearly the people over at DCTC have a soft spot for wos.
Maybe so...but obviously in the eyes of DC, a win still means something regardless of how many points WO-S scores.
