lcm/ lumberton have had deep playoff runs recent...... Playoff wins elude vidor. They prefer moral victory.

Matthews knows offensive schemes. He was an offensive coordinator for the arena team we had some years back.

Like I've said many times before matthews is NOT just there because of his wins and losses and nor is coach peevey. Its the character of the program. The effort. The spirit. The lessons you're teaching the young kids. As far as character and effort goes. You'll be hard to find many better than coach Matthews.

LCM has winning groups all the way down to junior tackle. Turnout is better, kids are buying in and motivated..... The rest will follow.

Also. High flying success leads to transfers from other schools on top of the normal growth. And being from the area lumbertons growth "seems" much higher than most other places around in my opinion

Not sure how CH sizes up but lumberton is the only school in the district that didn't have to have any 2 way starters. They're really a 5A team playing down right now.
