Why in the world is Center trying to play with four small guards ? Looks like they have decent size on the bench.

    Silsbee now up 46 - 21.

Ill just say this, those guards have just as good a shot at scoring, defending, and getting rebounds as any "size" on the Riders bench.

Im honestly surprised its as "close" as it is right now.

Thanks for the updates, btw. Keep em coming

I was eating at the Grill in Center Tuesday night wondering if they could beat Liberty. I guess not. there was a bunch of Teneha Players in there that night.

I give Liberty all the credit they deserve. They played a pretty disciplined game on offense. The only times they didnt score TD's was they couple times they fumbled the ball. Granted, Center's defense has been atrocious for the better part of the season, ESPECIALLY against the run. But with that said, Center had opportunities early on that we just couldnt capitalize on. The Riders recovered 2 onside kicks in the 1st qtr, and couldnt get points out of either possession. 2nd qtr just got away from the Riders, which turned out to be the difference in the game. They outscored us 35-12, to take a 42-18 lead into half. We never could gain enough momentum after half to get within 2 scores. Good luck to Liberty going forward

I know that it's no big deal and Silsbee basketball will move on, but I want to know what happened.  Still not getting an answer.  Because I know Silsbee is a better overall team than Center.  Just a big surprising that they lost.

Silsbee had little to no answer for center's jaterious Evans and kaleb parks. Center did a fairly good job of beating silsbee's pressure without making too many turnovers. Center played 8 players, with the starters playing 90-95% probably. Both teams had a couple key players in foul trouble down the stretch. Neither team shot FTs very well, although center probably made more down the stretch, including the 2 that would eventually win it. I think Silsbee rebounded a little better, especially on the offensive boards, which puzzled me, since center has 2 kids down low at 6'6" and 6'7". I don't know the count for sure, but I think center had around 6 or 7 dunks to silsbee's 1...I think. Obviously this was my first time to see silsbee this year, but the majority of the offense they ran was just to spread the floor and let McCain, Bush, or Adams dribble/drive to the rack and either take a contested layup against the center bigs, or kick it to the 3 pt line. But the most of the time, Center was able to contest even the 3 pt shots

Silsbee is a dang good team. I'm sure they missed some shots that they normally make, as did center. Both teams made some very difficult shots too, though. As most of you guys have said, Silsbee will be just fine moving forward.

    2 things:

1st...if they missed 7 ft's and 9 or so shots around the rim then yes...that's what cost them the game.  Refs had nothing to do with that.

2nd...you can not compare the foul count of 2 teams that play different styles of basketball or defense.  If one team plays more aggressive defense or just bad defense then they will always commit more fouls.

They played the same style of defense...
