Now to my Tigers,  hold your heads high guys you took us on a great ride.  No one expected this after last season and you went out and worked your rears off all summer and all season.  Nothing to be ashamed of you left it all on the field.  I couldn't be more proud.  Dontre it had been fun watching the leader and player you became.  To the rest of you seniors thanks for the memories and fun times.  Now I can't wait to see some of you on the hardwood soon.

Congrats Silsbee, You guys never say die!!! You gave our Defense a double handful last night & I hope all injured players on both sides fully recover quickly & completely. Your RB's are very tough to bring down before they either make first downs or Worse, TDs!  These kinds of games are why this is My favorite time of year! Thanks for making it memorable!!!

Ha, you know Silsbee have good people on and off the football field who are passionate about their team, I can’t knock them for that. I’m a Mustang Lady, and whishing the Tigers good luck. I’m going to tell you guys Silsbee has a very good football team. Their defense will hit you hard, and they have a under armor fella named Patrick Hudson on their team whom will make his presence known; I’m surprised no one has discussed his capacities as of yet. QB + running back + wide receivers = a whole lot of points lol, Them Tigers by 6.

With respect to my "verbiage", I simply was trying to demonstrate that communication between people is much more enjoyable when carried out in a civilized fashion instead of rude gutter talk, which by the way, I am ALSO quite fluent in! ( I have been banned from Smoakey.com Twice because of it, as many over there can attest to!) I simply was trying to be polite seeing that it one of my first posts on This forum! ( One Does only Get ONE first impression, after all. )

Truth? what truth?
Here are the facts?
Both teams are very good.
Both Carthage & Silsbee have improved as the season season has progressed.
Who is the best team? Nobody knows until Friday night at the end of the 4th qtr, when scoreboard hits all zero's
That is the truth, the way I see it.
This football game is not about who has the best facilities, who's parents make more money, who has a better basketball or baseball team. This game will be about 2 teams who have worked their tails off to get where they are now and for a chance to get to the next round.

People who get their dander up over a sports message board probably should refrain from having conversations where divergent points of view are exchanged.
Perhaps some Anger management therapy would benefit them and provide them with skills at pleasant social interaction with other anonymous participants engaged in the talking of smack regarding the pros and cons of their respective  hometown's sporting activities; I.e., Football, baseball, basketball, horse shoes & so on.
Also, consumption of alcohol and other mind altering substances only exacerbates as well as escalates the degree of "hurt butt" experienced by these individuals who find themselves dispossessed of a credible leg upon which to stand while coversing in smack, and is strenuously discouraged.
Hopefully, adherence to sobriety and decorum will one day lead to increased levels of pleasant dialogue during discussions about sporting events at Educational Facilities, which in the grand scheme of things, are intended to be a diversion from the less enjoyable activities in the lives of people, such as Work!
 

I have no issue at all with a Carthage fan claiming they will win Friday night. I am ok with Carthage fan stating they will win by 7-10 points. It's the ones stating Carthage will blow out Silsbee and the Tigers don't belong on the same field as the Bulldogs that I take issue with.
Like I have said before, have no problem with confidence in your team. I love it. Just don't like it when that confidence is over the top which comes off as very arrogant.
No denying the history of Carthage football. Much much better than Silsbee and that has been proven on the field the last two times these teams have met. I just think it's not that relevant in this particular game.
This is the best Silsbee offense I have ever seen (been watching Silsbee football since 1971). I like the Tigers chances in winning this game.
Carthage is the favorite, just not the overwhelming favorite that some are stating.

The Navasota game was a war between two evenly matched adversaries who were playing Life or Death for the chance to advance. No One in th' place had a Clue who was leaving as the winner until Eppler fumbled the pitchout to the RB on their final drive toward the goal with 1:02 left to play! 
Being a Carthage "homer", I have us as a 10 point favorite. I just hope everyone stays safe both to & from the game, & hope we have a good clean penalty free game & may the winner advance to the Championship & take the Crown!
