It’s the basic continuance of force.
    1. unsportsmanlike... whole team loses 15 yards, automatic first down.
    2. Second unsportmanlike... whole team loses 15 yards, player is disqualified.
    3. Attacks ref.... no penalty according to you guys, because that wouldn’t be fair to the whole team. I still that a disqualification for the whole team would have been justified.

To answer your question, I would have no problem if my senior kid’s season was ended because some knucklehead teammate had this meltdown. Everybody here knows that those kids are all accountable to each other... or they’re supposed to be. This kid cost those kids’ season, just like if he’d somehow played while ineligible.

Making my point, the first two are RULES of FOOTBALL, I don't see where assault is listed, thats in the law of the state. What if someone in the stands attacked someone? The team gets moved back ten yards? No, the person responsible gets arrested. And the police did arrest the kid.

Officials nitpicked PNG the entire game. I don't have a lot of sympathy for anyone claiming the officiating was against Nederland. That last penalty was significant, but the officials were AWFUL all night, and Nederland benefitted from it as well. In the end, PNG made one more play. That's almost always how this game goes. And as poorly as PNG tackled, Nederland had plenty of chances to score.

Significant? Game changing. One more play? Gifted by the “significant” call.

or MAYBE my friend you are incorrect. the JM era at Vidor started in 1999.  during that time 1999 thru 2019 the Pirates have 99 wins to 112 losses.

the points for Vidor in those 211 games = 5385

the points against Vidor in those  211 games = 4993

So really those point totals dont reflect a team that is 13 games under .500 during that 20 year span.

    they are 2-1  this season.

Ohhhh so your saying they have more losses than wins. Got it. I get that change is tough for some. I think personally they leave some weapons off the table by not incorporating a passing game. And I know some Vidor fans agree.

This works for newton, and when vidor did throw the ball is was wide open.  It is a great offense when executed.  Watch Liberty Hill run this.

This isn’t 3A newton nor is it Liberty Hill, it’s Vidor and the record reflects its offense. JM said he didn’t run the spread because he doesn’t have the athletes everyone else does. Maybe back then that was true, but now that it’s a 4A level maybe it’s time to go to a new offense or incorporate some plays out of the spread.

That offense doesn’t need a bunch of plays when it is ran right.   There is a reason why you see simple qb keeper busting it for 25 yards on 3rd and long.  The offense is about execution and repetitiveness with little wrinkles.   Vidor does it better than most.

They really need to expand on their offense though, they run it better than most but that hasn’t played out well over the last decade. Nothing run with a strong running game but a couple plays out of the spread and passes would shake things up a bit in their favor

I hope you’re right but this is a completely different offense personnel wise than the one Ned saw last year. Last season they were a qb run-centric offense, qb wasn’t much of a passer and they didn’t have a good rb. This year they have a 1,000+ yard back and a 6’-4” 220lbs qb to run the zone read with who can also distribute the ball pretty efficiently to his three top receivers. Crosby has to play solid defense plus keep the turnovers and penalties down if they want to win this one. We also have a new variable added when it comes to coaching.

We are also dealing with a different Crosby than what was at the beginning of the year, starting what? 1-3? And held on to a 2nd district finish, that’s the Crosby that has to show up. While we are on the topic I thought the same about Porter and New Caney, they must be different also because we beat them both and NC twice. I think the “new” Crosby shows up and plays “back against the wall” ball and advances
