  1. I root for the SEC team. Baylor and TCU getting left out actually proves why I should. The SEC champ seems to almost have an automatic bid to the playoff based on their past success while the Big 12 is left out in the cold. If Bama makes it to the championship game, the bowl revenue that is split amongst the teams is over $82 million. The Big 12 this year is splitting $21 mil. That's not including future TV deals, SEC Network, etc.
  2. I'm saying that people that actually attended a school and have an investment there, don't flip flop teams depending on who's good as you say you do.
  3. We root for the school we actually went to for our education. I know that is difficult to understand for someone that bought a t-shirt at Wal-Mart. I have never seen anyone on this board claim that A&M made the SEC. The SEC is benefitting from the Texas market, but A&M is still the big winner for moving conferences. The exposure and TV time the SEC has brought is exponentially more that it was in the Big 12. It will only help in the long run.
  4. The Big 12 is looking for 2 teams so they can be relevant again. Sounds like a win-win to me.
  5. These are rough numbers of payouts this year. The Big 12 is taking a beating financially and many think Bowlsby will lose his job over his handling of this. 2013-2014 Bowl Payouts boy conference - the Last year of the BCS 1. SEC - $52 Million 2. ACC - $46.6 Million 3. B1G - $45.7 Million 4. Big 12 - $42.4 Million - thanks to having 2 BCS teams 5. Pac 12 - $35.3 Million 2014-2015 Bowl payouts - projected - The first year of the playoff SEC - $60,620,000 (potentially $82,620,000) Pac 12 - $51,687,500 (potentially $73,687,500) ACC - $48,737,500 (potentially $70,737,500) Big 10 - $41,162500 (potentially $63,162,500) B12- $21,455,000 - No playoff teams. NO POTENTIAL FOR ANYTHING ABOVE THIS AMOUNT The Big 12's bowl payouts are going to drop by nearly exactly half. DROP BY HALF. From $4 Million revenue per team to $2 Million revenue per team. Making matters worse? The Big 12 spends over $12 Million on its "institutional expenses" which leaves less than $10 Million to distribute to the schools in bowl game revenue. The Big 12 will likely have a lower revenue distribution, per school, in 2015 than they did in 2014. A Catastrophic development.
  6. No none at all. It is being reported that both schools didn't want the matchup unless both of the teams were better. But whatever Chimp writes has to be true. I'm embarrassed
  7. And you know this because Chimp wrote it in an article a few weeks ago or where you involved in the discussions?
  8. It would have been pretty embarrassing for the first ever college football playoff bowls to have to break out the tarps to cover empty seats. They won't have this problem with the teams they picked.
  9. Vegas got the Top 4 right before the season [Hidden Content]
  10. Mike Gundy on the way out? There are rumors out there he is gone. Also rumors of a Bobby Petrino type scandal [Hidden Content]
  11. The Pirate back in Texas? Source confirms Mike Leach has interest in #UH job if buyout and contract issues could be worked out. Watch #abc13 tonight for more.

  14. I have 12 tickets for sale. I should make a good lick on them. They come with a hot dog and a drink! Make me an offer!
  15. WV in the Memphis bowl sucks. 1pm game on Monday the 29th is no good.
  16. I'll be there. Meet me at the Horseshoe Friday night. I'll be the one in Maroon at the blackjack table with the big stack of chips in front of me.
  17. Everyone that makes this argument always leaves out the fact that Texas Tech also only had 1 loss and it was a 3 way tie. That's convenient. Tech beat Texas by 6 on a last second TD Texas beat OU by 10 OU blasted #2 Tech by 44 points I agree Texas probably should have played in the Big 12 title game, but a 3 way tie isn't near the same as head to head.
  18. I post about everyone. Don't start thinking you are special
  19. @Nick_Mathews: UT has accepted a Texas Bowl invitation. Will play a TBD SEC opponent on Dec. 29 at Houston's NRG Stadium.
  20. @billyliucci: Continue to hear Music City in Nashville vs ND or Duck Commander in Shreveport vs Miami for the Aggies w/increasing Music City chatter
  21. Gary Patterson came off much better in his interview. He didn't sound like a whiny little B like Art.
  22. I just watched that. The Committe is prejudiced against the South according to Art.
  23. That happens when teams in front of you lose. Ole Miss is #9 with 3 losses. Everyone below them has 3 or more losses as well. Is this your first time seeing polls or do you just not understand how they work?
  24. @AshlyKBMT12: Orange 7. Miss. St. vs 12. GA Tech Peach 9. Ole Miss vs 6. TCU Fiesta 20. Boise St. vs 10. Arizona Cotton 8. Michigan St. vs 5. Baylor
  25. How long until the Baylor lawsuit is announced?
