Conference USA is not a Power 5 conference so Marshall doesn't get a say.
The Big 12 can actually apply for a waiver to play a title game. Instead they chose to add an extra bye week so they could play on championship week and try to remain relevant.
Briles got into it with the Big 12 comish during the trophy presentation. I guess Briles wasn't happy with his comments about the tie breaker.
@JonSolomonCBS: Art Briles and Bob Bowlsby had a heated conversation on the podium during award ceremony.
@JonSolomonCBS: Briles on Bowlsby conversation: "Don't say one thing & do another. That's my whole deal." He's referring to One True Champion yet co-champs.
Do you not agree that 12-1 is greater than 11-1?
If the conference championship game can hurt you if you lose, why can it not help if you win? The Big 12 not having a championship game is going to end up costing them.
7. Arizona lost
9. K-State lost
11. Georgia Tech lost
13. Wisonsin lost
12. Ole Miss has 3 losses as does everyone ranked behind them.
There really aren't any other options but to put Miss State in
Would anyone have a problem with this?
1. Bama- Sec champ
2. Oregon- Pac 12 champ
3. TCU- at large
4. FSU- ACC champ
5. Ohio State- Big Ten champ
6. Baylor- Big 12 champ- h2h tiebreaker
8. Michigan State- at large
10. Miss State- at large
Money makes the world go round. It also doesn't help that the Big 12 doesn't have a championship game. TCU isn't going to get much credit for beating a 2-10 Iowa State team.
The Big 12 might be left out totally with this performance by Ohio State.
TCU and Baylor's national profile isn't near Ohio State's. Advertisers and TV stations will want OSU in the playoff
