I'm seeing a whole new look. Is it just me or the site revamped? This looks more user friendly as far as posting pics and other media.

I agree with an earlier post. We are hearing details of some Family issues that should be Family Business. I know they make some things public record, or we hear inside info. Can we as SETX Supporters not stoop so low as to report such personal things as Family Issues?? We All make mistakes, but I Vow to try to not get too personal from this point forward. Reading some of this makes my heart ache for this kid. Brings back memories of some of my personal Family issues as a kid. Thank God there wasn't Internet back then. I know we All get caught up with "my info in legit" attitudes; that's fine, but if it gets to a place where we are seeking court documents, I believe we have crossed the line of respect for the kid. We agree we want to protect the kids right??

IMO...this thread should be removed. Whether the conversation is about a coach or a kid it's very much so involving this young man. Let his family deal with this situation and everybody get out of his business and matters not what side your on. If you want to support his family than do so in person if the relationship is of that nature and the same goes for the coach. I am not taking a shot at anyone...I'm just trying to have some compassion for a kid caught in the middle of an adult matter. All the speculation, finger pointing and blame game needs to stop. If you want to help this young man than drop the public debate and let his family handle their business in a private manor. IMO

Any college coach worth anything would never share such a text, if it existed, with some wannabe recruiting aide.  And even if he did, he would not allow you to share the text on a public forum while revealing his identity, which is what you would have to do in order to prove that it was from a 'legit' college coach.  

Yeah, I have noticed that, too.  Rhetoric, not actual procedure, is their forte.

53 I can understand your frustration, but a lot of people on SETX looking from the outside looking in. Me & Trey B father are great friends & have talked with him about this situation. I choose not to discuss it on Setx because everybody entitled too there on opinion. Only a few knows the real of what's going on..Due too the respect of the Baldwin Family I don't talk about there situation on here. It's family business, & things will work out for the better for Trey B & The Baldwin Family.

You are showing your ignorance, I have been involved at the local HS level for 3 decades. HS school coaches may not play a kid --what dumb£££ coach would not play a legit D1 kid, REALLY,

I have been with Major Applewhite when on a recruiting trip and he picked a NON FOOTBALL kid out of the gym and tried to talk him into being a tight end. Because he fit their specifications for a TE. That is a FACT.

Very politely sir, except for playing time, a HS FB coach is like a janitor to a college coach, let me talk to the kid and stay out of the way.

Oh, the reason WOS kids go to D1 is the same reason they play for the Seahawks and Cowboys.

Oh, and there are plenty of kids who get offers via email. Just not D1 for the most part. D2, D3, yes sir it happens. Those schools don't have the recruiting budget like the D1s have.

I agree with fun times as long as he is describing the athlete, but he left out one big one- physical dimensions and movement. No matter how hard that little engine tried to get over that hill, the diesel locomotive blew them all away and was coveted by all major universities. Their are different viewpoints in play, a college coach sees 6' 5", and 4.4 at a legit combine, while a parent uses emotion to plead, have you seen his tape- how hard he works- emotions clog vision - meat markets, for a fee will agree with mommy and daddy, and blame high school coaches, sorry but truth! I know there are exceptions, but we are talking 1-1,000,000,000

Gotta look on the bright side: at least its someone the kids know. 

If a recruiter is going to a Pop Warner game it will not be in Jasper, TX or any East Texas town. He will be in DFW or Houston.  

Had a few to come 10 minutes South this past season as well.
