1. I see Nederland winning this one and pull away in the 4th. Nederland has played some very tough games this year and has improved alot. Alot will depend upon Raines and if he is healthy.
2. We had I believe 5 players out for this game. 2 or 3 on the D alone. Davis out at D end. I feel if Davis and the other players were available to play we could have been more effective on defense. All in all a very good back and forth game. Glad to see the NDN's win this one. I see TC making some noise in their district. Their running back is very good. They have a overall smaller team this year than last years. TC's D is a good D. They have several key play makers. Very good linebackers. Now we have a bye week. 2 solid weeks to get everyone healed up and back on the field to be ready for Livingston. PNG seemed to run a very basic offense and Defense this game like the other 2 games before. Lots of learning in this game and things for the coaches to work on with the team. Lots of bright spots and lots of area's to work on. If PNG stays healthy they will be in the contention for District.
3. I didn't know Willis was so highly ranked. Last year PNG beat them in the second round of the playoffs. Do they have alot coming back this year ?

5.
Lets Go GP !
Thats unfortunate. If your a Nederland fan, I know of numerous Nederland fans going to watch PNG Saturday. I am going to the Nederland game tonight after the Fire it up pep rally at the reservation.
6. Good Luck !!! Represent Southeast Texas Well ! Show em what its about from down here !
7. I would have to think that it is the toughest in the state. Lots of top quality teams fighting it out for on of the 4 spots.
8. PNG had to starting O linemen missing due to injuries. Also PNG played very conservative on both O and D. If you noticed PNG did not blitz or stunt. PAM sent one or two on almost every play on a blitz. PNG's D was much improved. I think both teams held alot back and played it very conservative. Also I'm glad that there were no injuries. Good Scrimmage. I have to say that PAM has a giant O line ! What in the world have they fed those boys ? QB for PAM is good. Miller for PNG will be fine at QB. I just didn't understand the touch football on the QB. Miller had serveral plays he could have run for atleast 10-15 yards each.
9. PNG then Nederland and Dayton. Stephenville as well is rowdy and has a good following.
10. Livingston deserves a better facility than they have now. Don't know the history of the district with bonds etc.... but they do deserve something better than what they have now.
11. PNG will start their 2 a days at 6 am the 8th. Second practice I believe starts around 9:30 till 11ish. Yeah the heat is something else this week so far. I've had to employee's I had to sit down in the truck with A/C on and have em drink water and gatorade. After an hour they were better. I sent them home so not to cause a more severe problem later. Problem is that they drink to much soda and not enough water. Soda will dehydrate you very quickly. Drinks lots of H2O says the waterboy ! I agree with everyones statements. temps are still the same as when we all played back in the days. And I agree that alot of kids now days suck up to much A/C and play their games and watch one of the 700 channels on TV.

13.
Once again, I have to go with the Pine Cone Bowl, or the WS/Hemphill game. Guess I'm biased from living around here. I have seen some PNG fans come through the store where I work and, yes, they do bleed purple. They are die-hards. Think it depends on where and what you grew up watching.
Yeah there are alot of us PNG folks who go up around the lakes. If for one go to Pineland and Hemphill serveral times a month. I am usually wearing a PNG shirt. I even fly a PNG flag off of our Pontoon boat on Rayburn. Have one flying at our place on Rayburn. Have to because alot of our neighbors are Nederland folks. LOL ! My wife wants to have one of our golf carts painted purple and white and have PNG put on it. Yeah I think PNG supporters take it out of the area as well !
Now that would be one HECK of a game !
15. Gotta go with the "REZ" for the atmosphere ! If it rains you can go under the home side stands and not get wet. Also while in line you can watch the game on the TV's. 2nd is "Da Butch."
16. All I'm saying is that PNG will have a very stout secondary and alot better D than last years. Now thats just my opinion, others may disagree with me. We will have more experience in the secondary than last year. Didn't PNG beat Central in 7 on 7 ?
17. This season we are gonna have a whole secondary like Dre !
18. you may see Deweyville dropping to 1A. Heard their enrollments have dropped considerably.
19. If that ever happened you would have school districts bidding against each other to get that game. Heck even Reliant would throw their hat in the ring for that one. That would be a college game atmosphere. (prob play at Lamar)
20.

Last year PNG had a very good OL. No doubt they were the best in district and probably the best in SE TX. If I'm not mistaken they had played together 2 yrs. Next yrs group may be adequate, but they won't match up with last years. Unfortunately, that equates to not as good of a year for Bertrand. Chase is a good strong runner, but he won't see the massive holes created like last years group did. Bertrand will still get his 1000 yds. I can see somewhere between 1200 - 1400 for the year. Miller appears to be a good runner and his talent will compensate for any inadequacy on the OL. He will move in the pocket well and throw on the run. Keep in mind he will be throwing to Nelson and a newcomer by the name of Chipman. I was most impressed by Chipman in the spring game. I still think PNG has a long way to go on D. They seemed smaller up front and coverage was questionable in the spring game. Faircloth and company will have them prepared for next year, but I only see them grabbing the 3rd or 4th spot in the district. Unfortunately, after the up coming year, it will be all up hill for years to come. Good luck to the NDNS
not true about the defense. Thay did a great job all spring and the 1st team offense couldnt move the ball on the 1st D in the spring game. The 1st O didnt score or get a 1st down until the put the 2nd D in....
True about the D in the Spring game. But the O was missing a few O linemen who would have normally started. I see PNG being very well balanced between the O and D ! We will be right in the mix of it all for the top spot !

Good luck to the NDNS
I have to say that this years team as JV was awesome and these are the same boys. Also I feel the D will be better than last years D. They have matured alot and remember in the secondary in the Spring game they were not allowed to lay the wood. I do remember in the Spring game the secondary had several pics. The D line is around 6' and 240lbs. They are very strong and very quick. In the Spring game the D was not allowed to tackle in the backfield. I think they fielded 3 sacks on the QB.All they were allowed to do is tap the QB. I' ve seen several of the D line boys over the summer and they have put on some size, muscle size. They come to the house and eat everything in site. lol ! I look for a very exciting season with this D !  I look for PNG to be in the mix for the top spot. Faircloth and the coaches know how to coach and bring the talent out in the players. The boys that are going to be Juniors this coming year had a decent JV season. The Freshman team was decent. They have some very big boys coming up and I believe a pipeline has been created by the coaches from pee wee on up. Every team has talent and its up to the coaches to utilize it to the advantage of the team overall.
22. They had Reasons at Guard and they were also working with him at center. I look for this O line to be very good ! D will be better than last years in my opinion.
23. PNG's O line will be just fine. One tackle is 6'5" the other is 6'2", Guard, one is 6'3" the other 6'2" center is 6'1" all around 250 lbs. So yeah they got some meat up from and 3 of the 5 saw significant playing time at the varsity level and in the playoffs. The other 2 were starters on the JV last year. All these boys have been working extremely hard all summer and have put on alot of muscle.
24. Ok so PNG lost 4 on the o line and Doty. We do have Bertrand, Nelson and Nicotre coming back on the O line. We have several very large O linemen for this coming season. Reasons, 6'3" 260lbs, Stasinos, 6'5" about 250lbs, Mangini a Sophomore, 6'1" 250 lbs and a few others in the same size category. We have another great receiver in the making like Nelson. I don't know the name but he is taller and fast and has great hands. Miller at QB brings a good arm but has the ability to tuck and run. Very fast and great moves. We also have some other backs that can be thrown in that are super fast and quick. I feel our O will be as potent as last years. Yes the question mark is the O line, but the coaches worked hard with them in Spring ball and they did a good job. That was with 2 players that start not on the field due to injuries. Our D will be very solid. Several returners in the Secondary. Very fast and hard hitting linebacks. The D line lost a good size player with a knee injury in Spring ball, Hope he heals quickly. D line has Davis, Thompson (young brother of Taylor), Grantham, Riley and a big Freshman who rotated in at D end. I look for PNG to be right in the mix of it all again this coming season. We also have a great kicker coming for next season.
