1.
I see some of our Indian fans that see everything through Purple Tinted glasses are posting again! I am just hopeful for a playoff spot this year. I think we are at least two years maybe three away from having a legitimate state playoffs run.
No he fell and hit his head. I'm more optimistic. PNG has the talent and the coaching. Maybe my co supporter needs a MRI ! LOL !
 2. well I have been to 3 walgreens, 3 market baskets and 2 walmarts and academy here in the mid county area and no magazine. Bummer. What do they show for 20-4A ?
 3.

PNG should be ranked #5 in between Highland Park & Pearland Dawson . At the very least we should be ranked #8 We would so smoke Brenham
Just like y'all have every other time right?  If I remember correctly, we're 2-0 against y'all all time.  Now yalls neighbors from Nederland have handled us pretty easily. (We're 0-3 against them)  Dont forget who eliminated your best team yall have had in a long time. (09' when y'all were #5 in the state and 11-0) Why do you think you deserve a #5 ranking?  Y'all lost a lot since last year.  So did we, that's why I understand why we arnt ranked.  Think about it....  You're saying only 4 teams are better than a rebuilding PNG team. (new QB, new HB & no Nelson at WR)
I think that #5 is a fair ranking for us . This team is a really talented & if you count the Memorial transfers ................ Watch out TX !
What transfers ? My son is on the varsity at PNG and he has not mentioned any transfers.
 4. I would have to put my money on AJ. He did start on JV as a QB. Remember when Doty and Miller started. They were not perfectly accurate either. AJ is following 2 very big shoes to fill. Doty and Miller. I'm sure and do know he will be at QB camps all summer and along with 7 on 7 I'm sure he will get better. I guess a great problem Faircloth has is having 2 very good QB's to use. I wouldn't slam either one. Just one heck of a good problem to have. Who knows we could see several situations were they are both on the field at the same time.
 5. I do believe Summer Creek comes to the Rez this year. Don't think SC has played in a stadium setting like at the REZ.
 6. Yeah heard they do have a very good QB. They were a young team. Don't know much about them. I think there is some info in the 19-4A thread though about summer creek.
 7.
What are the chances of Walker (backup QB PNG) get any playing time behind Smith?
Probably little chance if AJ stays healthy. We did have another QB out there at the start of Spring Ball, but I don't see him anymore. They could have moved him. Taller kid.
 8.
Seems like the only ones making excuses is vidor,  injuries hurt you in the run department, if I ain't mistaken you lost to both of us png and ned. I enjoyed watching y'all play what games I got to see, the defense over there in vidor was tough, they. Made good tackles in the open field and flew to the ball. I haven't seen anyone on here from png say that they were gonna win the title. Everyone knows ned has the target on their back. This paticular png team when they were young wasn't what we fans call spectacular, but I think they have matured and will benefit from bf s offensive scheme, the only thing that keeps me guessing is the defense. I am ready for Friday so I can see for myself! Would love to see some bodies flying to the ball rapping up and letting the wood fly! Soo ready for some football, soulja you gonna come??? Brenhamfan said he may come since the hill sent their coach into early retirement in baseball! Be interesting to get yalls input so I won't be biased in my opinions!
This year PNG's Defense is their strength. For the purple and white game we will be missing 2 of our starting D linemen. Big boys too. Also our D gets to the ball faster than last year and talk about hitting hard. WOW ! Just wait till you see them on Friday night. The back up players on our D are very very good as well. We have some great depth !

I mainly here this underestimation theory coming from PN-G fans themselves.
I am referring to the folks who has us in the botttom tier of district. Its a new season and I cant argue with their opinion just stating my own
I don't think the ones that have them in the bottom tier are underestimating them, but just saying others may be in a better position to get it done this season. But, we will soon find out come fall. I CAN'T WAIT. BTW, where is MCM this year?
PNG
 10.

I went and watched some practice yesterday and WOW!!!!!!!!!!! I hope everyone keeps underestimating the tribe.
What did you think of the d-line and backers its has been many years since we had so much speed and ability to flow to the ball. Im very excited about this season.
The D line that you have been seeing for the last week are the 2nd team back up players. We are currently missing 2 starters on the D line. One of em is 6' 1/2 and 250 the other is 6'2" and around 225. Both of these young men are very fast and very strong and still growing. Yeah I agree, PNG should have a very good defense that will get to the ball very fast. Lots of talent out there.
 11. Heard that the receiver coach is highly talented and a very very good coach. I don't feel PNG will miss a beat due to assistant coaching changes.
 12. Oh yeah, I can say the replacement coaches will be as good as those that have moved on to bigger positions.
 13. maybe those who do a LI get a academic scholarship of some sorts. I too am very aware of DIII level play and scholarships.
 14. PNG had their first Spring practice today. Full pads. Team looked good. D was on mark and the O line did very well. Defense executed very well. Impressed with their pressure and pursuit. Secondary is very good.  I was surprised at the size we have out there on the O line. 3 returners and the other 2 are very good size boys.  Running backs are very very quick and fast. Very explosive thru the gaps and to the outside. Several receivers to throw to again this year with great hands. 3 of which are tall, around 6'2"-4". The others have great hands as well.  AJ was on the mark for most passes today. Stayed in the pocket and picked best route and receiver. Back up QB has a great arm as well. Reminds me of Miller. He can tuck and run when he has too. Very fast. Team looked very good and solid. Now I'm biased, but others may see differently. Team worked hard this morning. We were missing a few key players today due to minor injuries from other sports. Overall good looking group of boys out there. Very balanced on both sides of the ball.
 15. Congrats ! Keep the momentum going ! Glad to see another SE Texas player go to the next level.

 17.
As a PNG fan I know Nederland is the clear favorite to win district. After that the remaining three teams will be a crapshoot. Just for giggles. 2. PN-G 3. Vidor 4. Livingston / Ozen PN-G will only be as successful as the QB play allows them to be. They have plenty of size and skill players but I was told that AJ has issues "throwing a catchable ball". If he develops some touch and accuracy he has plenty of arm strength to get the job done. I can say for a fact I speak with one of the smaller kids on the O-line pretty often and he is about 6'0" and in the 250 to 260 range.
I was up at the school yesterday and was watching AJ throw the ball around on the field to some of the receivers. He throws very hard and was dead on with his throws 9 out of 10 times. That was short routes, cross the middle routes and the deep ball. He was throwing bullets 10,20 yards at a time. I think Faircloth has worked hard with him. I do know he will be hitting some camps this summer as well. He had great form and technique rolling out and throwing. I think us PNG fans always have a struggle with a new QB til we see them make it happen. I feel more comfortable after yesterday. Also the back up to AJ has a great arm as well. Very fast too. To the doubters. Next years Senior class has matured tremendously and all have grown in size considerably and are still doing so. Also you have to add in the mix the boys who played JV last season who are moving up. There is alot of talent there and some incredible size. There is gonna be another tall receiver on the field as well, just a bit shorter than Chipman. Very fast. We also have several backs to choose from or use in a split backfield. I have all the faith that Faircloth and his coaches will have this team right up there in the mix of it all and be a playoff team.

Nederland (1 district loss) 2. LC-M (3 losses) 3. Ozen (3 losses) 4. Central (3 losses)
Goooooood ! Count out them Injuns..... ;)
I have reliable information on PN-G.  ;)
And that would be?
A PN-G guy.  ;)  Don't shoot the messenger.  ;D
I was referring to the information, not the messenger.
The information is that they will not be good at all.  This will be a rebuilding year.  I also heard they will be lacking size.  Who knows.  Maybe im wrong.
Size ? really ? O-Line minimum 265 across the front. Minimum Hight, 6'1" tallest 6'4". Super strong front crew. Very quick and they return 3 starters on the O line. QB was varsity back up last year, super strong arm and can run faster than last years QB. Running backs, Womack, smaller than Bertram but faster and has very fast feet and can stop and be gone on a dime, another possible running back, Arvies little brother, Like Arvie but alot faster. We return 2 receivers as well. We have alot back on the O side of the ball who started or who either got significant playing time rotating in. D side, we have 5 back on the D side of the ball who started last year, and several who played significant time rotating in. Size on D line. 6'-6'2" all about 250. Super strong front for the D and the linebackers are big and very fast. I want everyone to underestimate the NDN's this year. This group of Seniors have really grown over the last 2 years. Also they have been in the Faircloth system all of their HS playing careers. Oh and the players moving up from the JV are very big and will be able to fight for a starting spot. Very good JV team last year. I don't think you can call it a rebuilding year, its a reloading year again. Don't underestimate the talent of this team.
 19. PNG starts Spring practice at the end of the month, Spring game towards end of May. So atleast there is some football bout to happen. Don't know who else is doing Spring ball this year. I look forward to it. Helps me get thru the summer alittle easier.
 20. Even though coach Cary is a offensive coach, he is highly respected on both sides of the ball. I personally enjoy talking with him when I meet him. Very intelligent and very well spoken man. Glad that PNG gets to keep him for a bit longer.
 21. Hey I say take the Dayton kicker and put him in a Dallas Cowboys uniform now ! Would help the cowboys out !
