1. I feel this game was a big confidence booster for AJ. He made some great passes and runs. Even if Walker comes back and takes snaps you have to deal with AJ at receiver. In the Lumberton game AJ went up and caught a pass with one hand. Looked like he palmed it. Great dual threat player.
2. I say PNG's D find itself and shows up and the O gets its groove on and puts up the points to win ! PNG 34  LCM 17.  The alphabet bowl !

Whats the look for who's going d1 and d2? I see the 4 playoff teams as ned vidor ozen and livingston in order. Who would go where?
Nederland  (1478.5) Vidor (1398) Ozen (1264) Livingston (1143) Vidor has the 4th biggest enrollment in the district.  If PN-G & Central miss the playoffs then Vidor goes D1.
I'm hoping we miss the D1 in fear of meeting up with SC. They would go D1 if they make it right?
Yes
Who would have to make it to the playoffs for Vidor to go D2?
Central
Ha! that aint happening  ;)
Just answering the question.  Yeah, I wouldn't sleep on PNG, they might make it in if they can get the QB controversy straightened out.
AJ's stats tonight 10-14  115 yards 1 TD 15 carries for 95 yards  3 TD's Not a bad stat line even if it was against Lumberton.
I kept reading earlier how PNG was going to BLOW OUT the L-Train, what I saw was more a little bit of a breeze. Both team made mistakes and both teams stayed in it until the end. PNG got the win, but that's at least one team that has seen that L-Town has something brewing in there. I ain't going to lie, I was shocked when I made it to the game and saw that not only were the Raiders not down, they were actually tied with the Indians, both teams kept the game interesting. Hope my boys play Central next week like they played the Injuns.
Lumberton played a good game. I feel they have the ability to sneak up on a few teams and take some wins. Ya'lls backs are very quick. Don't underestimate Lumberton. They are better than some expect. Very scrappy and aggresive.
4. Running late. PNG is stable. Great practices. Couple of starters back from injuries. Another back who played a lot last year on the D.
5. Only time we did decent on the run defense was with a 4 man D line. Plugged up some of the holes at times. Not perfect but better than the 3 man D line. Oh well. Just don't really know what to say overall. Maybe during the next 2 weeks PNG will find their feet again.
6. Sounds like another Manvel team. Remember their behavior in our playoff game against them 3 years ago. Asking a team to leave the field must be an embarrassing situation for their coaches.
7. We have several other receivers that are very good. Rose is ahead of chipman in yards caught. Clopton, doing great, and alot of others getting yards on pass. I'm not concerned. Some other good receivers available on the JV as well. Don't forget with a rotating QB AJ is also going out and catching passes. AJ can go way up and grab a ball too. PNG will be just fine, this is just a bump in the road. Yesterdays practice the team looked very good and didn't seem to miss a beat. Team looked pumped up and worked hard.
8. Funny thing is that so many people hang their hats on one player like him. The other receivers were gathering up more yards than him anyway. There are several very good ones on the team who will be competing for that spot. I'm not concerned at all. We have some very talented receivers on this team Rose is very good, has great hands, very fast. Like I said PNG will be fine. He quit apparently to focus on baseball.
9. Seems like when the momentum was in PNG's hands we would get a few penalty's and it would take the breath away. All I can say is that PNG put points on the board against a top Defensive team. I give WOS credit. They are a great team with ton's of D1 talent on the field. Best of luck to the mustangs. They should go all the way this year.
10. Riley, 6'1" 265 will be back in the bye week. Looks like Faircloth is putting in some good trick plays and possibly taking advantage of AJ's height. HMMMMMMMMMM
11. Just pray collins stays healthy. sounds like he is all you got.
12. Lol. Silsbee game sold out at PNG ticket booth first day.
13. Wow. Can't believe what I'm reading. Sounds like the horse has been put out to pasture regarding this year's team. There is a lot of talent on the field this year. These boys who are seniors have been in faircloths system since their freshmen year. I feel attention needs to be given to this year's team and not the ones coming up for the next 2-3 year's.  This team will be contenders for a district title. They are very committed to the system and know how to work hard and make things happen.
14. Per Bostwick this is gonna stay way to our east with no chance of it coming here.So bring on some Friday nite lights !
15. All the models differ everywhere. Weather channel says New Orleans still. I think they want it to go there for news reasons. Seems like every update it moves further west. Sabine Pass is now under Tropical Storm alert. Who knows. If it comes more west at least we won't be on the dirty side of the storm. Maybe some winds or rain. I think it does not have enough time to move this far west. Although at 5 this morning they said once it hits land it could skip along the coast westward some. Lots of speculation. But I think it will stay east of us.
16. not going to know for sure for atleast another 24 hours were this dude is actually heading. I'm thinking more along the central LA coast. But I'm not one of those high paid folks who predict were a storm will go.
17. alright. Talked to some of the players on varsity. Said they did get into the red zone several times and then were backed up because of penalties. When they were at the 2 they had 3 penalties in a row. Not making excuses. Boys are very frustrated about last night. They were talking already about Monday's practice how things are going to get alot more intense and focused. Said they know they will be working on the tackling circuit alot. Glad that the players know what they feel like they need to be working on. I'm sure the coaches in the team room Monday will make it very clear. They said first team didn't play the entire controlled scrimmage either. Also Womack didn't play much due to a foot injury. At this time of the season every team has alot to work on. At least the issues can be seen and worked on before the games really count.
18. When you have seasoned starters on the side lines with injuries its difficult to make things happen as they do in practice. Moving people around or putting players in who have very little experience at the varsity level is gonna cause problems. Both PNG and Nederland have starters not playing right now because of injuries. Lets all just hope they heal up quickly and will be ready for some Friday Nite Lights ! Best thing about scrimmages is that you get to evaluate your players and back ups and how your team handles adversity.
19. I have a feeling that come Monday these boys are gonna be working their butts off. Wouldn't surprise me if the coaches aren't up at the field house watching video right now. I do know that every year Faircloth only runs the same 8-10 offensive plays and the D only runs a few stunts. As ref above, vanilla. I heard we also had a TD called back from a pass play or was that the same play the penalty was called on ?
20. HMMMM did Reasons suit up ? I know his ankle was injured earlier this week.
