Well I'm not sure if you know this or not but the harrison twins were tabbed as both being one and done lottery picks so one going undrafted and one being drafted in the second round which they're now both in the D-League wouldn't say thats a great start. But I'ma huge UK fan so I'm excited about seeing Fox development however I don't think he was better than J'Covan thats just me though.

Can't forget about Emmanuel McElroy, B.J. Tyler, Steve Jackson, Darrell MacArthur. ..Daniel Ewing

TJ Ford was great!!! The best high school players I ever saw from the area were TJ Ford, Okafor, Perkins, and Gibson. 

Fox has Russell Westbrook  Athleticism but lack that drive and that passion...A.K.A. missing that dog in him...
Talent  wise he's one of te best but mentality  wise top 50 in greater houston  area history...

That team was good but lost in the 2nd round....so therefore can't be considered the best team...

I haven't seen us play yet, but from what I was told, Coach Paul can coach.  The problem is that the young players will need more varsity experience.  That'll come with more games played. 

Central will be good....wait until the youngsters get their feet wet...

Jim Hicks also said Central would dominant  ozen...My point is that it's all opinions and his opinion was clearly  wrong  last year....

Just because a kid signs doesn't mean they received a scholarship. It's great kids are going to school, but not all are having their education paid in full; which I'm sure this is what the underlying debate is about. Let's be real, Coaches need bodies, especially in Football, so why not give a kid a partial, or allow them to walk-on?? Can't hurt much, maybe the kid wasn't recruited & turns out to be a STEAL.  Too many times the "handlers" of these kids give Horrible advice. For the sake of Debate or Discussion, let's talk about how can we keep them in school once they get there. Too many Transfer back home because the experience/expectation wasn't close to Reality. Quit sugarcoating Life & tell these kids the Truth. Mama & Daddy can't save you!!! Life is Real & so are the consequences, can't run every time things get a little challenging or uncomfortable. JMO

Memorial had 15 after going 3-7. 

I wasn't all that impressed with Anthony Boutte when he was at Memorial.  You can throw out freshman basketball win/loss records all you want, but I think a broomstick could win at the under levels with the cats in PA and Desoto.  Seems to me that his daddy's name got him a couple of jobs and the entitlement from that may have caused some friction with the head coaches there.  Also, why do you think it's so important to coach out of the area?  They got this new thing called television where you can like watch games and pause and rewind them to look at what other teams do.  I'm also hearing about this internet deal where you can actually get film and tape and listen to other coaches talk.  Oh and there are these things called clinics too.  Maybe one day we'll have all that in Southeast Texas.  You're a good friend to your buddy I think, but ain't nobody buying what you're selling, partner.

He went to desoto and Dekaney. How did he get along with his head coaches there? And don't lie. He wasnt allowed to sit on the bench with one team and was  suspended from the other. 
He may need to go to a few more schools to  learn a little  humility. 

Ozenfinest you need to stay in lane when it comes to basketball...You messy for no reason....You probably hate on Jesus too...Anthony a great guy but not ready to be a head coach yet...He's very knowledgeable about the game of basketball but lacks  maturity...
In time he may be a great head coach but it's more than X's and O's...
As far as southeast Texas basketball, there's probably about 7 or 8 championships since 2001...from Ozen,  Kountze,  H.J., Evadale,  And probably some more I'm missing...
 
As far as basketball,  southeast Texas is more of a Gumbo style....A little mixture of everything...
