Because no quality coach in their right mind wants to go anywhere knowing that it's a 1 year gig. Its no secret that Jasper is waiting for coach Mixon to finish next year in Woodville then hire him back to be the baseball coach at Jasper. I have no problem w getting him back after next year but everyone needs to understand that all you may end up w is an interim for next year.... JMO. Good luck.

Back to the original post...... Woodville baseball job is open. Been open the longest and no action. HJ was open for what 3 days before they got someone. Woodville has a great baseball tradition, but it seems as if baseball is put on the back burner. Sad that a quality program with good kids gets treated like that.

Oh I totally agree. I was referring to LCM reasoning for playing at home as stated by a previous poster earlier in the day. The 2 run HR early in the game got them back in it and it went back and forth from there. LCM knocked McMillan around and won the game by doing the things they had to do. Great job

You are correct. Kirbyville will face Van Vleck Buna will face Danbury Kountze and Hardin will get EB or Boling. EB still has a game left to play vs Van Vleck but they sit in 2nd right now.

Deweyville will actually finish ahead of Warren. Think of what Deweyville could have done if not for the flood before district started. I think they would have been a playoff team.

Deweyville beat Warren last night....Buna says thank you!!!! Buna beats Warren tonight, they wrap up the final spot. KV, Hardin, and Kountze have all clinched spots.

You're right, overlooked that. My fault. Too many scenarios for the final 3 spots. That being said...... I think Hardin gets 2, Kountze gets 3 and Buna and Warren playing twice in a week to get the 4 spot.

Kountze has beaten Warren twice so they hold the tie breaker if they end up tied. If they haven't locked up a spot already, Hardin is a win away from a playoff spot..... Clear as mud I know. Ah gotcha, I don't think Cleveland is a pitcher. Jones and Gore have been a good 1-2 punch. Stats are probably on game changer or max preps. That's what most are using.
