  1. I said nothing about ethnicity.

It is a fact.  I assumed since you posted PNG, Vidor, Ned = similar environment

and Beaumont, Houston , Dallas= same environment

you are referring to the common ground of race?  What, then do you define as similar environment.  Fact is ethnicities.

thats not bad -- just fact.

  2. care to explain?

English has had success at Vidor and Nederland.  While we had diverse ethnic make up because of the housing at the Shire, and areas in the city of Pt A.  That were NISD. Vidor is an extremely non diverse racial make up.  Until you teach/coach in different environments you can't forsee how you/players will accept each other.  Hooks, Thompson did it.

can English?  No one can know.  He is a good HS coach, no question.

  3. Word around the water cooler is that Neumann has been hosting secret practices in his secret indoor facility since April. By the middle of July, 18 prospects will be in town to compete for the starting position. At this time he has named Lebaron the starter to throw off the restless natives. Meanwhile BF is going to the school board to see how Neumann got the funding for the indoor facility..Undercover reporters are looking into the refinery/trade for baseball coach theory. At this time no arrests have been made, however several suspects are under surveillance. Meanwhile, avid fans are putting together a raffle in Port Neches and Groves to come up with money for the new trophy case..... Spys have been sent to Nederland to get the exact measurements of the Bum Phillips trophy... Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available...

Great post! Thanks for the humor, on that note PNGs school board just pulled a 1/2 million $$ trifecta -- got $100,000 and $150,000 from two players relatives and like $120,000 from their booster club. For a indoor facility they won't build now they get to keep the $$$$ to spend as they wish.

I hear we are meeting at the KC Hall under the  radar.  Kinda like Hogans Heros!!

  4. Superior Athletes ? I have never known png to have superior athletes.  just sayin

    Hey, hey, hey!!!!!

PNG has all the great athletes.  Funny thing is College scouts don't reconize them.. I .don't think any have signed/committed to a legit D1 school.

great 7/7 group-----not too good 11/11 group.  Facts, I hate to use those dadgum numbers, what has PNG done outside of the Doty sr year?. What??  Thank God they keep the staff and program at such a point that us and WOS get to spank um 1 game a year.   Can't overcome experience and 23 year program.

  5. Nederland's QB going into the season is Lebaron.  I'm sure Mayfield will get some looks in certain sets as well.

I think coach will find a way to fit them both in, in certain situations.

like last year- Seay Qb and dt?  In high school a player can really be a game changer and I think that's what we and WOS do really well!  Look at Dallas a dang JV qb---strolls in to lead the Varsity to the State football AND flipping baseball games?

at 15/16 years of age?????????  Go figure. I am a huge fan of him.

  6. Yep thats what he said. They will believe anything the media and their savior Yobama or Hillary will tell them!  50 yrs. of voting democrat and still poor!

50 years goes back to 1965, imo from at least 65-80 we did well here jobs, etc... All with GREAT Democrats like Brooks, Parker, Wilson, etc...

as as far as now, jobs are WAY up here, fuel down, interest rates down (good if you need to barrow $) wages fair, just insurance way too exp. and  Republicans using too, too ,too many illegals to fuel their low wages which puts more $$$$ in their pockets.

make no mistake the big business owning Repubicians are THE #1 benefitting group from these illegals.

  7. Yes, PNG was soft last year--so one would assume the 6 or so returners on defense that were soft last year will be soft again this year.

only saving grace will be that they will put up points, Morse is a good throwing Qb.  We had his # at the end of the game last year.

he should be more poised and confident this year.

  8. PS , png sux

Hey, hey don't be sayin nothing about the pretty purple people.  They are THE best non-playoff, 4th place district team in Texas.

still can't figure out how they have so many great players the the stupid D1 big guys don't reconize?

For example, has any of the purple peeps signed a BIG D1 letter, like Baylor, Texas, Tech, LSU,etc...?  Remember they have record setting players.  Just can't beat us and WOS or anyone from the Houston area

  9. if he does not win this year against nederland he better go ahead and call U-HAUL

To make sure I have this correct, a Ned coach told you we will be a 5/6/7th place District?

since it is all speculation I am gonna just sit back and watch.

I tend to get over excited, at my age that's no bueno.

  10. This is from a very reliable source but Nederland is going to be lucky to make the playoffs this year with what they have to work with...that's not from me either that's from someone who is very knowledgeable about the Bulldogs

Was your source a PNG expert with purple glasses?

indianforever, are you a png fan?

  11. i will agree png has had more talent than ned the last couple of years

that being said that has not stopped png from getting out coached in the past.......

Faircloth is a first time head coach who had a few years as an asst.

So he gets out coached like a red headed step child.

great salesman, PNG does great on 7+7 but they cant grasp 11/11 is what counts.  Why don't we do 7/7?  What will png do if Morse, Mczeal, etc... Blow a knee? That's why we concentrate on football and kicking png butt!

just stating FACTS, oh shouldn't confuse the purple peeps with facts

  12. watch them ask for his head if/when nederland beats them again this year.......

    please keep Faircloth!!!

us and WOS really appreciate being able to have our highly experienced coaches whoop y'all's 1st time head coach.

imo all he does is throw the ball well, and he does do that.  Can't make a pimple on Neauman and Thompsons a&$

  13. Agree, the drug dealers or anyone won't stand on corners long in affluent neighborhoods- why? because it doesn't look right so they would get noticed.

JUST like if a homeowner from that affluent neighborhood drove down Savannah and Gulfway at 9pm.

just the way it is, I had a cigarette route in 1974 down Procter St.  You don't think I caught hell? I learned so much there.

  14. I felt like Giblin was coming into his own last year before the injury. From all I have talked too, it is a very, very, difficult one to come back from, so only time will tell. I also think that McZeal has the tools to be a great receiver, but in order to do so , he will have to be more consistant. He showed flashes last year, but another year of maturity should help. IMO we will definatly need to find a slot replacement in order to keep the coverage off the big guys.:)

You are spot on with the slot, and that is exactly what I was told about Gib -- one particular part of the injury was extremely serious. Maybe 2 operations??? I think

understand already a visit to Yale set up.

  15. Go PNG!!!!  Isn't there a college combine at SFA today?? I am still baffled as to what Ned doesn't do well, heck do we even participate?

    thanks for the scores.

as a side note I am a Newpaper addict I noticed that every article on the 1 page of the sports section of the Pt A news was AP-

Do they no longer have anyone writing daily?. Obviously not.  What a cryin shame.  The Bmt Ent had 5 pages - mostly AP but some WOS and LU stuff.

  16. A Sour Lake woman said the district hasn't equipped her two dyslexic nephews enough so they can get to at least an average reading level. One of them, a 14-year-old, is still reading at a third grade level.

The other, a first grader, has had trouble reading his own birth date.

No, reason to blame the school for the lack of parental involvement.

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

They'll also decide if the district needs to reimburse Kiesling for private services.

Really your sisters kids cant read ,even with the help of private tutors, and she still wants to blame the school
