They have to get Duke the ball and if you haven't noticed that's only about 5 times a game since week one. Putting the kid a tightend and telling him to block isn't gonna work. Put him on punt return or where ever u can to get him the ball.
I wish I could give this 10 likes. The kid is committed to SMU and has offers to several other schools as well. There is no excuse not to get him the ball more.

I do think GCM's secondary will match up well against PNG's passing game as GCM's best athletes play those positions. Although Duke did not play in the secondary last week, I hope to see him there this week against a pass heavy team. On a side note, GCM did beat PNG in 7 on 7 this past summer.
-
GCM Fan, but my early in the week prediction is PNG 49 - GCM 28. It will be the first time this season that GCM plays a road game.
-
Turnovers killed GCM. Let one get away.
Offense didn't let the defense get any rest in the second half with all those turnovers. That should of been a much closer game if not a win for GCM.
-
In my opinion, GCM has improved over last years team and Central has taken a step back. I expect a much closer game this year, and whichever team wins the turnover battle will win the game.
Well I called this one.

FYI Central fans. I sat on the vistor's side of the stadium when GCM played Sterling. You may want to bring a strong pair of sunglasses. You will be looking directly into the sun for the first hour of the game.
-
You will see more of him than you will want to in about 8 hours...
smack talker!

I think people are judging by our loss to WOS. Only scoring 14 points, kind of didnt live up to the hype on that one.
Our Offense is as advertised. Morse is scary good. Hes very seasoned and poised.
Defense is the surprise. Getting better every game. Coaching seems on point also. Injuries are going to be key. We can't loose to many more.
Injuries are never good, but as long as you are healthy going into the playoffs, you should be okay in district play. With that being said, if you want to rest some players up when you play GCM, feel free.

Does anyone know the standings?
GCM 4-0 (17-6)
NED 3-1 (18-11)
LUM 2-1 (9-13)
PNG 1-1 (9-7)
Ozen 1-1 (22-6)
Lee 1-3 (6-15)
Central 0-2 (1-11)
Vidor 0-3 (1-17
Not sure how accurate this is, pulled it off MaxPreps website.

Just read in the Baytown Sun that the Central RB has offers from Alabama, TX A&M, and Arizona State along with 18 other offers. Didn't realize he was that good. I will be pulling for GCM in this one, but look forward to seeing him run the ball. Sounds like we could have the next Jamal Charles at Stallworth tonight.
-
So...is PNG this good, or is Lee just that bad? Lee had scored 21, 27, and 43 points until PNG put it on them last night. I knew Lee's defense was bad, but was surprised the offense didn't put up more points.
-
GCM over Vidor in 3. 25-15, 25-13, 25-13.

Short memories we have. Last time Central started the season off 0-3, they reeled off 6 straight and won the outright district title. But go ahead and laugh.
There is still hope for Central fans. Nederland started out 0-3 last year and still shared the DC. I guess that just goes to show how week our district was last year.

Great Rivalry game, between 2 storied programs, with State Championship implications......... Oh wait, my bad, wrong thread......
You almost had the Crosby fans taking over this tread with those comments.

Are you sure the game is at Stallworth in Baytown on Friday? GCM in playing Central at Stallworth on Friday.
Just looked at the schedule. WOS is play at Stallworth on Saturday.
-
Is it a split rental? I would think that whoever the home team is, would have to pay. Plus add in the bus travel. I was planning to make the game Friday, but as I am working all weekend, I will not be able to get off and drive there, and get home, with much time to get up for work the next day.

Well, you know how the calls go when playing IN Baytown. But that's another story, another day....
I think this comment goes in the week 5 excuses forum.

I like PNG in this one, but it will be a high scoring affair. Both teams can put up some points. I just think PNG will put up more points due to winning the turnover battle. I'll take the over on 80 total points in this one.

At the end of the day, Sterling is who we thought they were... And that's not a very good football team. With the exception of the playoff team a few years ago, they haven't been relevant in like 30 years....
Maybe not relevant for the past 30 years, but all I care about is this year. And so far, they haven't lost a game.

What you call negative feedback a CNN poll found that 98.4% of people realize is merely a joke..... and a pretty good one. In fact nothing negative was said.
As for as being a staff member, that comes from being in my 10th year on the forum, having almost 20,000 posts, not using profanity and being seen by admin as fairly level headed.
Note that I am "again" using a smiley (^^^^^) to denote a light heated post In case it escapes you yet another time.
Real men don't use emojis.

3 6a teams. We'll never see another 6a team again this year....
And GCMs one loss came to a 6a team in Sterling, which you have already stated will beat PAM, which Central couldn't do.
-
They struggled to beat Baytown Lee and Clear Brook.... 'nuff said.
I think Central will struggle with Baytown Lee this year as well.
-
....but you lost to Sterling? Ok...
but central has lost to everyone they have played so far.

I realize you are being sarcastic, but they should be able to get his hands on the ball more than 5 times a game. I'm wondering if there has been any thought at putting him back at the QB position. Scoring points wasn't the problem for this team last year when he was playing QB.
