14-3 EC up. Timeout Shelbyville. 4 minutes left in the first 

So 3A #10 Coldspring squeaks out a win over 3A #24 Atlanta. Yet, Coldspring was actually wanting a warmup game with either Silsbee or Yates with East Chambers taking on the other all to be played at EC. I think Coldspring needs to worry about the rest of 3A Region III.

We are comparing apples to oranges. Both teams are VERY good, this is going to be a great matchup. EC has bad loss to Canton, other than that both teams have managed their schedule as well as could have been expected. Each team has a very good chance to both be holding that trophy with gold medals around their next in about 3 weeks. 

Agreed and kudos to both coaches for making this game happen.   Should be a great tune up with a playoff-type atmosphere.   Here’s to a competitive, injury-free game.

You mean like “two years ago Lipan beat Argyle who gave Silsbee its toughest game”?  Is it only possible to use “so and so beat so and so, who almost beat so and so” if we’re debating this year’s teams by using teams that graduated 2 years ago?
Again I don’t know how opining Lipan isn’t as good as 3 teams that are state-ranked in 4A was so outrageous (but apparently it is).  The Napoleon complex is alive and well.  Thankfully for Coach K, Lipan is in District 19-1A and not the ACC...

I can guarantee Sutherland is going to do everything to win this game.

Huntington’s coach Jones got his 400th win last night. He told the media that it was not about him but about the players. Thanks coach for your hard work and dedication.

Coach Green has done a heck of a job in his 1st year at United!!! Wow!!!!! Congratulations!!! Let's keep moving forward and make it to San Antonio! 

It's almost as if the United coach knows a little something about North Shore. Congrats United. 

Heard that grandpa’s head was three times it’s normal size after the game. Had trouble keeping his balance. Hope he is better this morning. 

This is the debate with a proposed shot clock.  As much as I like watching basketball with a shot clock because I like a fast paced game, Lumberton could not have the season they have had with one.  They beat WOS twice by controlling the tempo of the game and dictating the game would be played on their terms.  Disciplined, long possessions.   Shorten the game by not allowing the mustangs to have the ball.  My guess is the Raiders probably had a very lopsided time of possession.  
So as much as I love fast paced basketball, I have to agree with my friend @AggiesAreWe   In the high school game, imposing the clock would take away a lot of strategy which, if executed, can be the great equalizer.   And Lumberton Assistant Rideaux is another one vehemently opposed to a HS shot clock.  

Congrats!  Warms my heart to see these kids and coach go and win in that hostile environment against the highly ranked NS Mustangs, even though many early was super crucial on the United coaching staff.  Waiting on those detractors to give their feedback.  Or maybe they were watching a Mid county game...  

Matt Graves hits nothing but the bottom of the net from the corner as time expires.  Thankfully, he is a better shooter (and much more handsome) than his grandpa

Someone should call the law on the basket ball team from EC.  Those boys were more like arsonist’s setting the place on fire. After the law, someone needs to call the fire department so they can go put the fire out in Kountze!

If a coach is worried about injury, then he wouldn't agree to play a "meaningless" game.

Free throw shooting was bad tonight. 

No but i also would not have accepted a warm up game in that situation either.  The coaches accept these game to keep that rhythm of playing twice a week and to try to get some good work in.  Especially if they can find someone who may fit an area that his team needs to work on.  I dont believe either coach would accept a game if they were just going to play the reserves.  I dont think they would do that to the other coach in most cases.

Please pray for Shelbyville head coach David Schmidt who was admitted to intensive care today and missed the game. Congratulations to Shelbyville boys super effort.
