They will be pretty good next year! Although I thought EC played terrible when the played, Evadale did some stuff that impressed me.

Give it a few years and the horror stories of Calpari will surface... I put him and Pitino on the same level! I will say this Calpari rest his hat on getting players to the NBA, and he is successful in doing that. Coach K rest his hat on building a program to last and consistently win at the highest level, and he is successful at that!

At this point you can't put Calpari along the same lines as Coach K. Yes Calpari can put together very talented teams, and go far with a young squad. But Coach K is more than that. Duke is second to none in graduation rate of basketball players, because any good coach will tell you it is just as much about having great men come out of your program as it is to have great players. And Coach K gets both, because he gets the best out of his players both on and off the court. Calpari is a great coach as well, but he is not on the same level as Coach K is. If he was he would be taking over the USA team...

EC has two key players returning Cordell David leading the team next year as a So., and Andre Anderson, he'll be a junior next year.

I've heard some stories about Calpari, not the guy that's on camera.

They have the pieces, and the East Region is a gauntlet. Indiana and then UNC could be tough. IMO Indiana-Kentucky is more of a Sweet 16/Elite 8 matchup not a Round of 32... Ulis vs Ferrell is going to be something to watch

Here might be a reason, yes Purdue may have had more big time recruits and all, but a lot has to do with the experience of the team. Purdue had 5 seniors and 2 juniors, Little Rock had 5 seniors and 9 juniors, if you don't think this makes a difference it does. Also IMO Purdue went away from their style of play, letting their big men go to work, and tried to win it on guard play which they lacked.

After the Little Rock win only 1.1% remain perfect

EC will have 1-2 "down years" (playoff teams), but we have some groups coming up that are arguably the most talented teams we've had (looking at JH comparisons). Next years sophomores were a good JH team winning roughly 75% of their games, the freshman group lost one(Port Neches 1st game 8th grade season) and tied one (first game 7th grade season). Next year will be our toughest year in a long time no doubt, but we will still contend. My prediction EC goes 6-4 in the regular season, possibly 7-3.

Heard Travis Williams did, but not 100%

8 total seniors and 4 were starters.

One starter #12 Andre Anderson Two players off the bench that got some playing time throughout the year, but next years team will be Sophomore and freshman heavy. The JV was very talented this year, will be a contender next year for a DC again. Don't know how far they will go in the playoffs, yet. They will have a lot of growing to do next year, but will be talented.

I've also heard Joubert will be the football coach only next year, and allow Travis to take over the basketball program. One reason I believe is he knows what they have coming back and coming up, get out while on top!

I have to agree! They were starting to hit their stride and then the accident occurred, still came back and fought hard! Very courageous effort by the Tigers, hate to see a great season end that way for them and Atascosita.
