Well this one is going to be a fast pace, hard fought, and well coached game. This is what you expect when you get to San Antonio. EC will fly around and play their game, and their will to win pulls this one out. EC wins a close one.

Both Anderson boys, Peter Stewart all moved in before the school year, and Cordell Davis #21 only has played this past summer league with the Juniors and Seniors.

East Chambers two seasons since going to state we have blown big leads to teams that ended up losing to the Region Champions. The different this season is we have a true point guard, again. In 13' we had Glen Roberts, and this year Antwaan Anderson has been the floor general. It's crazy to think a few months ago these guys had never stepped on the court with one another, and now they are going to step on to the biggest stage on Texas high school hoops!

Note what I say right after I said the "Dylan and Darius show", but if you were at the game on Saturday, as I was, Guillory and Silcox took the game over in the 4th quarter. Numerous players stepped up and made plays when they were needed, just saying those two stepped up when it was the crunch time.

We have Guillory listed at 6'0 so those could be generous measurement lol

Don't believe it was Browfield, I think you are thinking about Bridgeport with their 5 new kids that just happen to move in!

Brownfield was not at state last year, they were upset by Chilldress in the regional final.

That is crazy to think back on all the great battles, and Kountze has come out on top every time.

Trivia for some old timers: I know EC has not beat Kountze in a game since I believe '09, or some year around there. I was thinking back to all those regional tournament games in the Mid-2000's between EC-Kountze with Kountze winning, has EC ever beat Kountze in the playoffs??

All the Guillory's have been good shooters: Darius, Jarrod, Preston, Pat, and Chad (Assitant Coach on this years team).

Well I've finally calm down from that game, what a tremendous effort by both teams! Arnold and Stanford have nothing to hold their heads about two great athletes. Also #5 is going to be big next year. But how about those Bucs this team has a will to win that is unbelievable! Silcox took over this game along with Guillory, it's been the Dylan and Darius show since the time they started sports. But over the weekend numerous kids stepped up and made shots and plays when needed, it was a great team effort overall. Let's just keep it rolling into San Antonio!
