About a week ago

Any predictions on this district this season? My four playoff teams are East Chambers, Kountze, Buna, and Anahuac. No particular order, although I do think EC wins this district. Won't put my money on it until they bet Kountze in the regular season. EC was a young squad last season, they have already shown great improvement on the football field, and played their best basketball at the end of the season. What're everyone's thoughts?

If East Chambers plays scared, this game will be Newton early and often. I think East Chambers might surprise some people. The HF game was a slap in the face, and they answered the call last week. East Chambers wide-receivers will be the difference in that game, they need to get open and make the easy catches. Dropped passes in the Kirbyville and HF games cost us big time. Newton has too many play makers, and will pull away late. Good luck Bucs, don't think they have enough in the tank for Newton this season. Hope they prove me wrong, this would be a huge win for them! EC had 437 yards of offense, 260 passing 177 rushing. And I don't know what your definition of 'Hail Mary' is, but I don't believe EC ran one the entire game. They did throw a lot of passes deep. EC beat themselves. HF's defense needs to improve for them to compete. Tonight proved it.

Kirbyville has a lot of problems offensively. They are decent defensively. Hope things get turned around in K-Ville.

Last week was HF's super bowl, they forgot about the rest of the season. EC made them look better than they were last week.

East Chambers handled Liberty in their scrimmage. Woodville should win by 14+

Watched the final 6 minutes on the KUBE, was an outstanding finish. Manvel made some mistakes to give NS the chance to score that final TD. Manvel's #5 is the real deal, will look good in maroon pretty soon

EC had won 8 straight games, but we haven't played every season. Last time was 2002 or 2003, year wise.

One snap over the QBs head and I'm eating crow! Was a very entertaining ballgame, decided by a play or two. Congrats HF on the win, I think EC will find more good things about this game than bad.
