Sometimes you have to, it's called adjusting. Try to play your game, but when the other team is playing your game better than you ADJUST! LaMarque is going to get up and down the court better than Buna will, I've seen both teams play multiple times this season. Buna is going to have to hit the 3 ball and push when they can, but if it turns into a track meet Buna doesn't have a chance. Whitmire will have a game plan, and I'm sure they will give LaMarque all they can. People forget this team has been to state the last 2 years in 4A, and gave Lincoln all they could handle last season.

Buna is going to have to play very fundamental to beat LaMarque, just as East Bernard did. LaMarque is probably the most athletic team in the region, and maybe have the most size. Playing fast will play into LaMarque'a hand.

If they handle the Kountze pressure, EB will win. Kountze is going to be more athletic, but EB is very fundamentally sound on both ends. It's going to come down to how they handle Kountze's and how many easy baskets Kountze can get. If it turns into a half court game, Kountze won't beat them.

Congrats EB, this is a good team.

After talking to a friend the other night, they believe Newton is underrated and think they could make regionals.

I think this is going to be a great game. Two athletic teams, Edwards and the supporting cast are going to have to play well for Kountze.

Last post about this, sorry Kountze-Newton. LaMarque's enrollment had steadily dwindled as it looked like the school was going to shut down. Enrollment for the current alignment was posted before Texas City ISD, officially took over LaMarque HS. Also, a private school in LaMarque closed following last school year which added approximately 100 students. This is from a LaMarque source.

I agree, East Bernard might be the sleeper of the region. EC really did play one of their better games of the season. Their big guys are going to cause a lot of miss match problems for teams. And #2 (4 year starter) is a stud. Also not one time did EB panic when EC would make a run they would ride the tide then make their own run.

Buna's not getting by LaMarque, not a good matchup for Buna. And LaMarque is just that good.

After Bi-District what're everyone's thoughts?

I heard higher numbers at the start of this year. Current enrollment is back up to around 700.
