Hitchcock is probably the best team in the district. I hope my Bucs prove me wrong, but this loss is not unexpected. La Marque beat themselves and still won the game. EC was not 100% and still was in control the entire game. Hitchcock was a bad matchup for Hardin, they are a solid football team. As far as improving from last year, it's a different ball team. EC loss three fumbles inside the Hardin 15yrd online last year, still won 56-6. Also Snell is probably the best passing QB in the district. He might be Hardin's only 1st team player. If they run Haynes off, they will suffer for longer. But I don't care what you say, Belichek couldn't win the Super Bowl coaching the Browns. Talent is short in Hardin.

Back to baseball. I like the Astros tonight against Alex Wood. Astros bats need to be patient and look for the change up. Wood's best pitch. If they are patient, the Crawford Boxes might see a lot of action tonight. Morton-McHugh need to have a good outing, which being at home I think they will. Just need to keep the ball in play, and let the defense make plays. Should be another great game! Let's go 'Stros, two more home wins to finish them out.

And I'm pretty sure I said at the start of this thread Astros would get the best of Darvish.

La Marque travels to Winnie this week, to face East Chambers. La Marque and East Chambers are 2-0 in district coming into this week. La Marque two district wins have come against Hardin (33-22) and Anahuac (24-6). East Chambers two district wins came against Hempstead (19-0) and Hardin (31-12). East Chambers has been tough to play at home this season, all three home games have been shutouts. The winner of this game will clinch a playoff berth, and will at least hold a share of the lead in the district. My prediction: East Chambers 17 La Marque 14. Giving EC the edge playing at home and coaching.
