I'll put my football IQ up against anyone. I'm a Crosby guy now, I've also posted on this site before the Crosby/Dayton is no where near PNG/Nederland. I lived in Groves the first year they joined the STJFL and that rivalry starts early. I don't know much about Crosby history except the 4 years that my son was in the program. The guy at the helm is doing great things there with discipline, accountability, and not only in football, all sports. To me that's keeping kids out of trouble and is making a difference. So it's going in the right direction. It's funny though because last year people that don't like some of the Crosby posters were saying that they were blowing everyone out and weren't battle tested, now this year, they are barely winning, games are too close. Glass is either half full or half empty, just depends on the way you're looking at it I guess.

My assumption would be your son is KW? And once again my comments where directed at the low football IQ folks...

Just to clarify my posts... I was actually jabbing at the Crosby guys...
I don't usually bring up all the past stuff, but I figured with all the mouthing from those guys I would take a jab.. I have honestly looked up all of the Crosby stats.. From playoffs to % of wins since the school has been around.. Nothing special.. PNG, Nederland, WOS, etc, hell even TJ are all in the top of all the categories... That being said I'm just stating the obvious.. I like to mess with low IQ football minds... We at PNG are always mistaken for arrogant you know what's.. WOS is as well, along with some Nederland fans... However arrogance and tradition are 2 different things. It's easy to see by all the likes I receive on my posts that people enjoy good info.. It's also easy to see what folks just run a little to much jibber jabber.... Or in my terms... Are just inexperienced at winning... If people did not care about tradition, the movie Friday Night Lights would have never come around.. Last I looked PNG/NED was being talked about on National TV.... That's not arrogant statement, just a fact... So after a few posts about Crosby stats all I received was low IQ statements, kinda like a momma joke form a kid... At the end of the day everyone on this board knows 1 thing..... Some just don't measure up to the rest.... I won't throw any names out, but you all know... 1 article, a few wins, a few playoff appearances.... Last I looked they take about 4 a district for the playoffs.. Not 1 or 2 like back in the day.... But like I said to clarify, I was just bringing up all the past to simply get a rise out of them... Because at the end of the day, they have nothing to offer but negative remarks.... Like I said some call it arrogance, I simply call it Tradition.. And I will always have the numbers to back it up..... Now I'll crawl back into my town the size of a dot and look for a passing Isle of Capri bus needing directions.... Peace......

Man what does a statistician have to do to get some stats for the most storied program In the area. I'm currently on hold with my internet provider.. Apple. Said my computer is fine, so it must be my internet provider that will not bring up this data via Google... That's what happens when you live in a town the size of a dot. Hopefully we can get some type of resolution before the end of the day. Any help will be very well appreciated on these stats.. I heard a guy standing around the watercooler say that once I find out this info that it will be mind boggling... So one can only assume ( you know commit assumicide) that it's page after page of info. Probably back to back to back to back to back records... In the mean time, sorry to all my readers that I do not have the info yet but as soon as Time Warner takes me off hold I'll get back to you... I even called the Houston Newspapers and all they could find was 1 article... Is this a conspiracy???? We don't even have a grassy knoll in this one horse town.... Inquiring minds want to know.....

Once again I'm Sorry to Have offended your high football IQ minds.. Just went to the Dollar Store looking for some Crosby memorabilia.. No luck.. Did find a lot of others, but don't count me short I will find the stuff I'm. Looking for eventually.... Can anyone please help me on these issues... I'm looking for Crosby memorabilia. Playoff stuff.... Anything related to them. Once Apple gets my computer fixed surely Google can help me out... We have already had one PNG talent move to Crosby, can't afford another.... If I can buy up all the Crosby stuff might help us in the future from this happening again....

Hopefully, the kids that are dinged up can give us a Herculean effort because we need all cylinders clicking to come away with a win.
PN-G have faced and hung tough with a team like Central (WO-S) and Central battled and clawed with a team like PN-G (Nederland). So both teams will be ready for whatever the other team will want to throw at them...

Man I'm extremely sorry if I offended you and your minion.. I was just looking to get some active stats for the Every mighty Crosby program.. I can see that I have upset you and would like to deeply apologize.. I will keep googling stats for your school to get the information myself.. Might take longer than expected because my Mac has obviously crashed... Every time I Google Crosby playoff runs, etc, nothing is coming up... In the mean time if anyone has this information feel free to post it for me so I can put it in my archives... Although I will have to start a new folder since mine is full, my secondary folder is also full with Nederland and WOS data.. But I have one ready for it when the info arrives... In the mean time I'm getting with Apple to figure out why this info doesn't pull up for me... I'm not the most computer literate person you know, I spend most of my time directing buses to the Isle of Capri, however when they get lost, I just tell them to Google PNG Indians, they can find a map on the website with lots of other information as well... Once again sorry I upset YALL... Just a ole dumb redneck here that lives in small town... Size of a dot really......

Will be a tough test..... PNG will have to play 4 good quarters.. We have several areas that I call SUSPECT... Hopefully that gets cleaned up this week at practice... Central put up 35 in a half on Nederland. They have speed. As far as battle tested I think both teams are about the same... Both teams have a few injuries so it should be interesting...

IN 1998 I saw PN-G play Dayton at Lamar. I also went to that game in 1999 at when PN-G played Stephenville at the dome.

 

I have 2 words for that game.... Dakari Pearson.......... 4 words for the second game... Kendall Briles, Art Briles..... Might be 2 of the best players ive seen come out in that period....

Just my 2 cents... There a difference between best athlete and best football player... Anyone that has played knows that its not always about the fastest, biggest, strongest, quickest, player.. You cannot measure, heart, motor, and drive. You also need to gauge talent... Use Tyrone Swoopes for example.. A STUD in high school... A small High School... In college he looks slow and tends to not make quick reads... There is a big difference from 6A to 3A... SO honestly I dont know any of these kids, I would think the best talent in out district is Seay. I would think he will be more of a safety in college. He has the motor and drive.... Ive always wondered this.. There is a ton of kids who I think are good Football athletes that go unnoticed... Take WOS, Nederland, PNG, Central, Dayton, Ozen, etc... How many of these kids get offers to Lamar?

I have to agree with badndn, I don't think many PNG fans really thought they had a chance against us either. Good point badndn!

I agree with both of you.. Just the difference between High and Low football I.Q. 30 some odd wins in a row, your usually not a underdog....

Funny story for the Mid County Folks...... Having never lost to Ned in my High School career, one might say I tend to get extremely aggravated when we lose, especially what feels like for 20 years now (Actually 5). Anyway, Im leaving the game with my brother and nephew, and my nephew is trying to talk to me about something, and Im halfway listening due to the fact im upset...... So about this time I hear..... All I do is win win win, being played by the Nederland band....... So i went from mad to a little chuckle...... I thought, these guys are not only prepared on the field, but the band practiced a new song for the victory.... Turned my frown upside down.... LOL.. SO to the Nederland band, I say Thanks.
