I tend to disagree with none of our teams being able to go 2 or 3 rounds. When Nederland stepped on the field last night, NOBODY except the Patriots thought they were going to win this game. Any given day, if the ball bounces your way, anybody can be beat. Regardless of what happens today, if GCM beats Ozen, Central will have that opportunity...

I like the post, but have to disagree. Central can win by 35 today over PNG and my opinion stii will not change.. I kust think the district is weak from top to bottom. I have watched alot of football throughout my life and have yet to say "WOW" that team is good.. I do agree with the ball bouncing, but IMO i think any day any team can beat the other in our district with the exception of 2. But it doesnt really matter its just my opinion.. And as I said before I just want to see one of the 4 go a few rounds..

I guess it all makes some kind of sense.

Honest question here... By far Memorial puts out more D1 talent than any school in the area.. We are talking noone else is even close, including WOS.. Memorial combined three schools, SFA and Lincoln had good years.. Lincoln was always a playoff team. TJ had its moments..  I just cant believe it is a shortage of talent.. I know the staff has been there for a while... My question is, whats the issue?

I was told years ago about a thing called Swagger... There is 2 things in this world that will ruin my week.. First is getting our butts kicked by Nederland, 2nd is getting our butts kicked by WOS. WOS plays with Swagger, thats just a cool word for fire.. They will light you up at any given time.. Sometimes that could be after a play, during a play, before a play, etc. Its something I wish we had, but that being said, if you let the SWAGGER get to you, and you let the officiating get to you, guess what, you lose.. It happened to PNG this year after dominating the first half, the SWAGGER shut us up the second half...  But what I have learned over the years is this... As bad as I hate to lose to Ned and WOS, they are my second favorite teams... You hear about it game after game, but the results stay the same... And at the end of the day, everybody loves or hates a winner.... I just happen to love a winner.... WOS keep it up, because like my ole buddy EG said, everybody knows who WOS is... Can you say the same..

Some of these posts are just hilarious.. In the words of Cris Carter, COME ON MAN... Neumann botching a game might be the funniest thing ive heard.. Here is what I will say.... GCM took it to a good Nederland team and won.. This shows me one thing that I have been saying all year.  IMO our district is weak, from top to bottom.. Usually we have that one good team that you think can go 2 or 3 rounds, and honestly Im not sure we have that ability this year. I do hope to see someone in the district make it a few rounds.. Congrats to GCM on the win, and to the Nederland fans, no more talk about the streak.... But the good thing is throwing up the 5 in a row is more than enough to shut me up..... LOL...

Wow. Wow. Wow. Pretty crazy game, give GCM credit for going for 2 in the 2nd OT...

It probably has something to do with last years' game when Vidor had Lumberton beat and yet they felt a need to kick an onside kick in order to score again...............you know, running up the score, that kind of thing.

Really.... One thing you should know about coaching football is this.. Its not the other teams fault they are winning... Now onside kicking might be a little crazy, but its still football.. Its alot easier to get your kids mentally prepared when you just tell them... Hey, you got beat, vs, they ran the score up on us.... With the way ties go for playoff seeds, I would run it up as well if i needed the points...

Vidor doesn't lose to Lumberton at home... Hell nobody loses to Lumerton anywhere! The Raiders do have some very close and hard fought loses though, so there is that...

Lol... Couldn't have said it better myself... Honestly I will pick against Lumberton every week as long as I live so I'm saying Vidor by 28 points..... Might be to many points but oh well....
