In case any of you fellas missed it, Mavis Williams, the man who coached the WOS Little League football, and prepped them for High School ball, passed away. This is going to put a dent in the program, unless someone can step up and fill his shoes, with the same enthusiasm and knowledge.

Gary Stelly just said that Cornel said earlier, that WOS never seems to play their best at Bridge City, even though they will win. I think BC gets fired up to play WOS, and WOS is just kinda has ho-hum enthusiasm, when it comes to playing Bridge City, because they feel they are going to win every time, and they have. Well, we got another half of the game to play. We'll see what happens.

2 great programs go head to head. Hope no one gets hurt. Of course, I back the Mustangs.

I came here, hoping to find some answers about what this is all about.

Fishing is a lot of fun and sometimes work. It is an outdoor sport, but it darn sure is not athletics.

I want to know what the true story is on playing in the monsoon. That was just stupid. I don't care what the outcome was. Playing in those conditions are stupid. I don't want to hear the stadium was not available, because there are plenty of stadiums available.

Several things is right. Be sure to put a Safety in the defensive secondary. Find a QB that can run. Don't agree to play in a driving rainstorm.

What was the good reason?

I read somewhere that it was the Silsbee coach that refused to reschedule. Neither team played as they should, with the rain, wind and cold.

Wish I could blame it all on the rain, but WOS just made one mistake after another. Hey, where is the Safety on WOS defense? They are going to have to improve in several areas, to get back to the big game. They are not the quality they need to be, to make it there, now. Congrats to Silsbee!

Rain and wind, like this, and the wet field, ruins the game for the fans, and ruins the fair outcome of a game. This is just stupid to playing in this mess.
