WO-S has won 45 consecutive district games. There’s no way they’d do anything to put that streak in jeopardy. They’ve also beaten H-F 14 consecutive years since the series began meaning WO-S is 14-0 all-time against them. This could be the year for H-F, who knows, but it won’t be because WO-S gave it away by any means.

None of you seem to be looking at the brackets. Jasper and WOS could very likely meet again in the 3rd round. Silsbee would have to get by a very good Giddings in the 3rd round possibly which will be tough. I can see a Jasper/WOS vs Silsbee quarterfinal in a best case scenario but Giddings, Sweeny and Wharton and LaGrange or Bellville could throw a wrench in that. WOS gave Nederland their closest game to date I must add with a 1 point loss and has made it to the 4th round the past 7 years since 2011.
In 4A D1 local teams may sweep round 1 but round 2 will be a sweep by the Carthage, Kilgore, Henderson district.
In 5A I can see PAM making it to the 4th round but then they’d potentially face either a really good Hutto or a rematch with New Caney.
In 6A D2 West Brook could go 3 or 4 rounds as all the heavy hitters are in D1.
GP North Shore is a heavy favorite to make the state finals in 6A D1.
Ned and PNG will run into Fort Bend Marshall, Huntsville, Manvel, and/or Marshall within the 2nd or 3rd round. An upset or two could get one of them to the 4th round but that’s a tough road in that region.
Newton will roll to AT&T most likely although you never know. Upsets happen.
Woodville has a tough road potentially in 3A D1 with Diboll, Franklin and/or Cameron Yoe waiting in the 3rd round.

DisAgree 100% back a few years ago all the schools from the DAllas area are getting basically home game for State so they get up in there on bed a drive down the road versus a 5- 9 hour bus ride. That absolutely makes a difference without a doubt. It should either rotate between the three covered stadiums or go back to flipping but the uil makes all their money off the stacked games they care less about how far some teams drive and others have a home game 

How much were we up over Crosby in the 3rd Quarter 17-7? Behind Newton 0-7 at half. Lost to Nederland by 1. Looking forward to that Jasper rematch in a few weeks.

Jasper is looking flat coming off of the bye week. They lead Tarkington 34-16 halfway through the 3rd quarter.

BTW Nederland beating crosby 35-14 and WOS really was supposed to beat Nederland minus the mix field goals. Let that soak in real good for those who are saying we’re super down.

Having played such a hard schedule has helped WOS tremendously, QB has improved .

I haven't posted a bunch because honestly, the rah rah bandwagon has taken over. But look, I would like to say this. Anyone can pop off on here, sometimes it's backed up on Friday, sometimes it isn't. But let me state a few facts. You can hate on that purple all day long, talk trash on the QB, hell even talk trash on me. I have broad shoulders folks. But like I always say, it all takes care of itself on Friday nights. Nobody owns PNG, WOS is the only team that can say that. Last year it was PAM, this year its the MECCA. We have never been the biggest, strongest, or the most athletic. But in the end we are PNG. And until you figure how that works the results will always stay the same. So find me some analytics that tells me how to change that traditon, and I'll shut up until then. True! Playing both sides of the ball will make you tired also! It’s called depth.

HISD change a bunch of names that were offensive in one form or another.  As a conservative, you should be all for self-determination of a local taxing entity no?  Not to get into a larger conversation of course....

15 hours to go....   bring it home again Mustangs

I don't know when that will happen again.  We've had a huge turnover in our coaching staff, and we haven't looked like ourselves the past couple of seasons.  We will continue to have good seasons, though, but getting to the level we have been getting to may take a little longer.  I don't know.  We haven't had quite the talent level we're used to seeing, and we have also lacked the discipline we are used to having, and getting that back is tantamount to getting us to championship level.  Time will tell.

We keep our cards close to the vest.  Still waiting for that Gilmer rematch #3 if you guys would actually win.  

Not really bored even if my team is not playing.  I love me some high school football, and this week it's over.  Kinda depressing when I think about it...
I'm over here just to see what's going on with y'all to see if I can get a better feel for this game.  There's so much chest beating and other nonsense going on over there it's tough to have any real football talk on the ET site.  It's humorous at times, though.  I have to admit that.  It's dead on the downlow.  Nobody from PG gets on there.  They just now discovered that there were internet forums in that part of Texarkana when PG starting winning, so I guess they don't know about that one.
No kidding, though.  Congrats to the Mustangs.  I'll admit I was one of those that thought the streak would end before this week somehow.  It's amazing to be there AGAIN after losing JD, and so many players to graduation.
And, I have absolutely no statistics (team or player), no roster, no real information available to make an educated guess in the title game.  I'd like to know who to look for before actually watching the game.
