Well if it's "just a message board," then don't be ignorant and correct others. Your "just a message board name" can remain misspelled. You may want to think about who you're calling a moron, taxi driver :) Plenty of us backwood, rednecks are highly educated so I wouldn't go there.

alright, i'm really done.  i've stated my case too many times.  WOS, great game, great team, deserved win. HJ, tough break, hard fought, and showed for large chunks of the game you can go toe to toe with one of the best in the state.  Very proud of the hawks and how far they've come, and very impressed with the stangs and good they are.  good luck to both moving forward, and hopefully we meet again in a bigger venue with better refs.  I have to get out of this thread before i develop carpel tunnel, or have a seizure, or do both.  While I disagree with what the final scoreline should've been, and have gone back and forth with several of you guys, WOS fans absolutely should be proud of their team and feel like their team deserved the win they got.  If you've responded to me, i'm not going to read it, because it will only start me up again.  time to go sight in the .308 and make sure i'm ready for deer hunting this evening.  adios, and God bless.  oh, and see you guys in some HJ threads later ;)  It's killing me not to go look at the 7 new replies already made.

These teams have not been very good for along time, especially Scarbrough there have been times for years that they did not win any games at all. This is a true conversation,  I was working in the area at the time. A few years back I asked one of their football players have they ever heard of WOS, he said yeah, then I asked him, have they ever played us before, I was joking of course. The young man said "H### No!" we don't want to play them, those people will beat our butts". :lol:  :lol: I just thought that was so funny, he was sooo very serious at that time. If he was a freshmen then, he is still on that team. That team does know about the Mustangs. It goes without saying  Tradition and Respect everybody knows your name. October 31 st,  they better recognize!

Look guys I am not a big WOS fan, I would love to see Orangefield beat them but I do RESPECT their kids, coaches and system. Here are the facts plain and simple, WOS has dominated at the district level for many years in football at all levels the 7th, 8th, 9th and jv. What other school can say that? The answer is zero !!!! Will they continue this trend? I hope not but regardless of what anyone thinks WOS has earned respect from this bobcat faithful. Falcon said WOS has not made it out of regionals, this is true but also look at the teams who beat them. Some have either won the state championship or made it to the title game. When district play is over and our teams go to playoffs we will all be pulling for each other.   

You listen to the Jasper broadcast every week? So, does the Foster guy always talk down to other teams in personal terms? Was he saying he would rather be from Jasper than Vidor after beating them last week? Was he saying that HJ rubbed Jasper's nose in the dirt after that loss?

One of the analyst was very biased from KJAS, calling our last TD classless and saying he expected nothing less from WO-S. I am not a life long WO-S fan, but to me his accusations are ludicrous.

In fairness, the play-by-play guy (Art Lay) did not spew the sour grapes. It was the color analyst, who sounded like nothing more than a fan grabbed from the stands. It was a little too early to take a knee when he thought we should have.
