Congrats to all these young men and their families! I can't claim to know every college player from SETX.  However, when I am watching football on Saturday and I find out a player for either team is from SETX I always pay close attention and pull for them to have a great game. Even if I am pulling for the other team to win I like to see the SETX players have a great individual performance.
I'm also glad to see Lamar recruiting and getting serious consideration/commits from local players.

We watched Silsbee play Huffman on our bye week. And Tiger From Jasper is hands down the most athletic Qb in the district. No offense intended. I think Silsbee's downfield passing attack is tops, but that kid from Jasper is on a whole other level.  He can hurt you in a whole multitude of ways. 
 
Silsbee is is going to score, and we're going to score. If we play our game, in our house, we should earn a tough victory this Friday. I don't expect anything less than a nail biter. 

Oh, everybody in the stands is free to judge the "bone-headedness" of a coach's decisions.  You earn that right when you pay for your season tickets.  Or when you pay your property taxes.  
I'm sorry if i don't get into coach-worship.  Wearing a whistle doesn't mean that you are eternally right.  Everybody isn't cut out to be a coach, whether or not they can persuade the Super and admin to hire them.  Honestly?  I think that coach needs to apologize to the people who pay his salary for failing to fulfill one of the key obligations of his job FOR SIX YEARS RUNNING.  If the coach didn't realize that his failure to win in what is considered by his employers to be the most important game of the year, REPEATEDLY would lead to criticism.... then shame on him.  Maybe he'd rather be coaching PE and driving a bus?  I don't know.  Those guys don't get criticized nearly as much as the coaches.  
Trust me, fax... if you forget to put somebody's straw in their bag, you're going to hear about it.  Faircloth can't expect peace and harmony on the Reservation if he keeps losing to Nederland.  Period.

Shoot, you can't even question a coach's performance on this board.  Definitely shouldn't boo him during the game when he calls a boneheaded play my 4th grader knows not to try on Madden. Never should you question his decision to have his only Qb in a spread offense fielding punts. 
If the good coach didn't realize how important this particular game is, then I feel sorry for him. It's just life. I would be willing to bet that Charlie Strong wouldn't finish this season if he lost to Oklahoma a few weeks ago. When he signed up to coach at PNG, to play in that jewel of a facility, and to collect that big fat salary, he should have understood that beating Nederland was a condition of keeping the privilege of coaching the Indians.
To the good coach I say this. If you don't like it, there's always barber college.

Maybe FC didn't realize how serious the game is to the people who pay for that house. My advice? Beat the Bulldogs. And if some jerks put "for sale"'signs in your yard, don't be surprised. Just quietly harvest them, put them in the trash can, and start trying to figure out how to beat the Bulldogs next year. And DONT talk to reporters or anybody else about it. 
How many consecutive losses would be sufficient enough to warrant the Indian faithful actually criticizing the good coach? Eight? Twelve? Twenty?
 

Not a fan of what was done to Faircloth but, its not the first nor last shot that will be taken at him. Dance around it all you like, provide facts and percentages till your blue in the face.....Bottom line with many.....Beat Nederland.

Meh.... The coach knew all about the rivalry long before he backed his truck up to the Administration Building and started loading his truck with sacks of money. It's only going to get worse until he gets the monkey off his back. 
Everybody has goals at their work.... Whether production goals, sales goals, saving lives, or beating the Bulldogs.... When you can't get it done professionally, you're going to hear about it.

We don't want to hurt you just beat you and maybe hurt a few feelings!  Here's hoping for no injuries for either team!

Should be a hard played game next week. I think both teams know what's at stake. I home both teams play injury free and Silsbee wins 

BC and Huffman seem to me to be fairly evenly matched.  I think Huffman has an advantage in passing game.  Unless it rains, of course.  
 
I'm predicting another close game District game and hoping my Cards come out on top.  Bridge City is gonna bring the ruckus!

Well played sir, well played. I should have been more specific in saying "better than last year". In the game last year I thought they had some pretty good athletes but seemed a group of individuals not on the same page, from all reports that issue is far from the case this year. While getting a QB experienced with the offense along with a Coach was a good boost, I think it speak volumes to the level of talent and desire to win of the players in how fast they have adapted to the new system.
All that said, I'm still picking my Falcons!
 

Depends on what you mean by "fare well."  Neither would win district but both would be playoff teams (and BC should be in their district now).  BC would be the 2nd best team in the district this year, and LCM could be if they were in it.  No one in their D1 district is as good as WOS, but more quality teams overall IMO with HH, Jasper, Silsbee, etc.
