All I hoped for this year was the opportunity to be in the hunt for the playoffs. Being as on any given Friday, a 1/3 to 1/2 of our starters are sophomores. I don’t think people really realize how young we are.

Yep. On the offensive side we got two lineman who are seniors everyone else is a sophomore or junior.

LCM had a bad night. Dropped passes and over thrown balls. We knew our defense hasn’t seen that offense before. I’ve watch Lumberton before and they Lack speed. Unless they got some one I havnt seen back. Huffman Head coach said it was a fluke that Lumberton beat Livingston so they were fired up for game. Hopefully after a emotional victory they will come out flat

Lack speed? If anything the reason Lumberton is having a solid year so far is people think they’re typical slow Lumberton but get shocked when they show up and out run everyone because they have 4 Receivers that can GO. I hope LCM’s coaching staff is thinking like you. 😂

There were 44 Pickums.  Only 5 picked Ltown and 11 picked Vidor.  Neither one gets any respect.  How fitting would it be for the final regular  season game between Ltown & Vidor to be for the District Championship?  It’s a real possibility.  Good luck Raiders.

Wow, would be awesome fingers crossed that happens. Would be at Raider Stadium too 😉

  5. I'm interested to see how the Raiders do tomorrow night. They are very young but a lot of those young guys are talented. They're starting a sophomore QB and RB along with a couple of athletic wide outs. Their front 7 has a few all district guys returning and is the most experienced part of the team as well and their d line has some good size (Soph at nose is going to be good). I'm glad they're getting a pretty good test to start the year. Growing pains will happen early with youth but I'd be surprised if they don't end up in the playoffs. Ready for some Friday Nights!
