NRG Stadium, Jerry's World....none of them would even be in existence if it weren't for the fans that come to see the games. This is a fact. So the fans should at the very least be considered even if they're not a deciding factor.

​so travel dont matter? If it wasnt bout fans as well not alot of Playoff games in West Texas would have been postponed in 2013 and 2014 . think about what you're saying here. 

​"Fans" are a huge part of the equation. Without them, there most likely IS no football. If coaches make the decision to play in a big stadium simply because of the 'cool' factor for themselves and their players of playing in a big arena, then that's a big slap in the face to the fans that back them up. I know that I've lost this argument because the games will be held at one arena no matter what I think...Lol.. but still....I wish they'd go back to the way it was. If midway ends up being near one of the big arenas and they can work it out then heck yea....go for it. If not then split the difference so everybody that can come, will. JMO

​i totally understand your points but I would (as a kid or fan or coach) like to be in a covered facility. Thats why im a strong supporter of them rotating between HTX, DFW and San-An. On the flipside of that with the winter weather we have been having the past two years I can see it being safer to leave it up to the coaches for a centrally located site between the schools for traveling safety reasons too. 

You proved my point BigDog. It will be a long drive. Let's say 500 miles for example. It's fair for one of those teams to have to drive 450+ of those 500? Nah. Let's split the difference and keep it fair. 

IMO the kids would rather play for a State Title regardless of where it is. 

I will say this.. Yes everybody knows Kirbyville and EC should battle for first but the past two years EC has only beat Kountze by a touchdown on each occasion. Kountze over EC is really the only possible upset I see. But IMO kirbyville runs the table this year. But you never know what can happen which is why you play the game!

Kirbyville and Newton should be playing every year. That is an old, old rivalry. Even if it looks like one team will have a down year they should still be scheduled. Just my opinion though. 

I agree. It should be very exciting. Not many teams in this district will take a step backwards this year. Should be interesting.

I'm sorry but this is ridiculous. It's as watered down as the playoffs now. I counted 21 first team 'starters' on this list for offense without including the kickers. (I was too aggravated by then to count defense too) I mean come on.....21??? Last I checked, only 11 players were allowed on the field at one time so why were 21 put on the 1st team??

I want to say that from where I was sitting, this was a clean game. When power is struggled over like it was during this game, often emotions run high and it's reflected in attitude on the field. The players were all helping each other up, saw lots if helmet taps and talking exchanged between the teams during the game. Afterwards during Kirbyvilles alma mater, the entire Rockdale organization stood behind our team and clapped when it was over before going back to their own side, which I thought was a class act. No doubt our guys are hurting this morning...super Proud to be a Wildcat

Here's how this year has gone...Kirbyville beat EC.....EC beat Little River Academy.....LRA beat Rockdale.....Rockdale beat Buna.....and Buna beat Kirbyville. Man I don't know what to expect anymore. Lol.. I say Kirbyville by 2 td's.....that's my pick for the rest of the year.  :lol:

I think EC has earned the role of being the favorite in this one. They played a season that was only 4 pts away from being undefeated, while Cameron Yoe has lost 4 games. I honestly think EC will take this one. Cameron has been a powerhouse in the past and has done good this year, but I think they will be beaten this weekend.

Super Proud of our boys! The energy in the stands was awesome last night, and so glad the rain held off! Love those KIRBYVILLE WILDCATS!
