Sorry to disappoint you guys but I had a chance to see shug thro the ball in 7 vs 7 and the kid is just not a good passer, he is not a threat when u take his legs away. Very good athlete and competitor but not a true qb. And I’m not hating at all just my opinion.

The kid is what they call a "gamer".  You cant teach that.  He's special. His competitive spirit is on another level.

I'm just going to put a name out there for you all to remember. Kam Ladia from PA Memorial.  I've seen some video from spring ball.  Quick release, very strong arm, accurate, and the ball zips from his hand.  Not saying he's better than this or that kid, but he's definitely a kid to keep  on your radar.

Port Arthur already knows about him.  A lot a people have been patiently waiting.  I know old Buddy Garrity is a supporter.

  3. I think Morgan's youth, coaching experience, having no ties to players or their families, and the respect of the players got him the job.  I think coach Vincent should have gotten the job, but that's just my opinion.  That doesn' mean I don't think Morgan doesn't deserve the job.  I think he will do a great job.  Race really shouldn't be brought up in this discussion.  The players respect him and the board that voted for him was black.  Disagreeing with a decision is one thing, but using race when it isn't warranted is another.

I’m saying Big D1. Elite level guys.

i see two in that roster that’s going to be seniors.

dont worry my WOS Mustangs don’t have any.

Ladia has an "Elite" arm.  I've seen enough to know not many in the area have an arm talent like that.  Keitha Jones Jr and Ladia could have started at many programs as freshman and sohpmores.  Kids just have to wait their turn at Memorial.

I say no, his ability  to run is  nice to have. Plus  his passing has gotten better  as the season has gone on.  He has more zip than ever on the ball and his a load to tackle.

I agree other than the comment on his passing.  He's hit and miss on his passing.  He didn't look too hot Friday night against a weak secondary. Inconsistencies in his passing is the issue, not his ability to pass.  He's an excellent athlete playing quarterback.

Those  guys  also  said Jones  should be the  qb over Harrison  the last two seasons.

I will say this.  This is from my lil perspective.  Against tough teams (PNG, Ned) you go with your proven players (you'll have to play 4 tough qts.  Decent teams (Central, Lumberton) when the game is out of reach you give your talented back ups more burn ( the backup qb, the two running backs from early in the season #6 and #20.  They play a lot of receivers from what I've seen.  Against trash teams, I would work on certain plays (scenarios) with the starters and start pulling them in the 3rd qt.  It would all go towards keeping everybody fresh for those tough playoff games where you hope everyone will be healthy.

  7. A lot of people in my section was asking the same thing Friday.  Why are certain players still a blowout game late including Jones who we thought was hurt but ended up being cramp. Not to mention KPark started playing dirty and that was another sign to pull players.  Many fans question that.

last year it was no close district games besides the last one. no struggling. key people got hurt in a blowout second rd playoff game last year and was unavailable for temple with hines being the main one. he never touched the field.

What qt did Hines get hurt in that2nd round game last yr?

front seven improved. secondary fell off some what. i made fun of bambi because of the stupid sacks and picks at the wrong time. however, if jones didn't give it up as much he can be deadly. to me the passing is about the same. the wr's are not bad, especially with x there. they all were new to us instead of the 2 year corp we are use to. i think we are better this year, even xbox somewhat seems to be a little better.

They actually have a better receiving core imo.  Francis and Hull can take the top off of any D.  The sophmore #89 and junior #19 are good young wrs.  They have a big TE that is under utilized imo.  A rb that can catch it out the backfield.  I haven't seen too many dropped balls this yr.  Inconsistent passing is more of a problem than the receivers.  The running and passing game was better last year overall.  Their inconsistent pass game and suspect secondary could be this teams downfall against equal talent goin forward.
