  1. I comprehend fine. Even you said the kid did wrong. Can't figure any other angle for you to be concerned about him being cuffed. When I was in school, if there was going to be a fight after school in the alley behind the O,Banion's store, we went and watched. The kids who fought either left each other alone after tha or even became friends. If you had a fight in school, you went to the principal and possibly licks and/or detention. Nowadays, if you fight at school, assault charges are filed, you are cuffed, and go to jail. That's without having anything that resembles a bomb.
  2. The threat of communism was real....and still is. The threat of being nuked from Cuba was real. These things were not conjured up simply as a scare tactic. The threat of terrorist bombings on our home turf, whether from abroad or from homegrown maggots, is real. ( Oklahoma City, 9/11, Boston Marathon) these are not apparitions. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Err on the side of caution. This does not make you paranoid. The biggest difference between now and then, is leadership. I can't imagine Obama being commander-in-chief during the Cuban Missile Crisis. What if this Muslim kid had brought a toy gun to school? Some of these toys look very real. Would he have had to be a white kid to make an arrest since most school shootings are committed by whites? Ah, that would be profiling...something we should address before he begins shooting.
  3. 1. Lots of women are rapped by Hispanics and Caucasians. 2. Not worth answering 3. Do you really think that white people are the only ones who put others down? like you said, this could go on and on.
  4. do you really think they said, "Hey, that looks like a bomb. Put you hands behind your back."? I would have gotten myself and everyone else as far away as I thought was safe. But keep having your fun with the racist thing. It is laughable.
  5. If you take the time to analyze everything you just mentioned, you get blown to smithereens.
  6. Did Obama prevent the Fort Hood shooting? At least Bush went after those responsible. Obama pats them on the back.
  7. If 99% (maybe higher) of the people in the world, who blow up themselves and others with hidden bombs, are Muslims, then arresting a Muslim with what appears to be a bomb is not being racist. Where does any sane thinking person come up with that? Did he fit a profile? You bet he did. Solution?......DON'T FIT THE PROFILE! We have had several bomb threats called in locally by white kids, who were caught, arrested, and charged. Funny, I didn't hear a peep out of anyone taking their side.
  8. Only thing I can offer up is that I don't think of O.J. as a psychopath. I think he thought his wife and Goldman were lovers and ended both their lives.
  9. I have to bring this up again. Look at that pic of Roof. Is it just a bad pic, something that mug shots bring out, or can you look at those eyes and tell there is something wrong with him? I will go to my grave saying that there is a consistent weird look about psychopaths.
  10. Sorry to hear that this involves professional therapy. Lol. My question would be.....does Texas have the talent to compete, and if so, is it bad coaching or has the system not taken effect yet? I believe any proud Texan should pull for UT. We represent our state. I pull for the Ags. They represent our state. I just give the Ags on this board a ration of crapola.
  11. I was in 4th grade.....1962. We have deteriorated since then but not nearly as fast as the last 8 years. When Obama intervened in the police vs. the professor and asked both to the White House, that was the beginning of the end of respect for the law and enforcement.
  12. ....and who would know that better than an ag?
  13. Obama should confiscate all clocks and then ban them.
  14. I don't hide when my teams are struggling. It is the nature of sports. I never sway, even though I do watch the Ags. I like their team. It's the fans that scare me. Those stats are hopefully just that, and against lesser opponents. Texas' biggest problem is QB, offensive line, defensive line, and special teams. Other than that, we are doing well.
  15. .....and this applies to Cal. vs. Texas how? i know nothing about Cal this year. I will let the gurus figure who is supposed to win. I pull for my Longhorns regardless. Anyone who does not like the Horns, there are several other threads to beat your chest on. 3 Horns fans and 3 Ags on this Texas thread. Go figure.
  16. Astros desperately need this win. Go Stros!
  17. They're very exciting to watch. They can sweep the Dodgers and win series against the Yankees and K.C., but they struggle with the Rangers. I haven't figured that one out yet. BTW, there are games yet to be played. Hopefully we can make it very interesting.
  18. Next, there will be no college entrance exams, no S.A.T.s, and their degrees will simply be handed out in their respective fields. That's the doctor I want operating on me. DUH!!!!!!!
  19. The dumbing down of America. Why even have school if you aren't even eighth grade smart?
  20. Astros have shown me all year that they can't beat the Rangers. This is what it has come down too so.....Lets Do It!
  21. ok. Didn't know that. I guess I should have been leary since he was cut by the Titans.
  22. Cowboys need a WR to take up slack while Dez is on the mend. I'll take Nicks! [Hidden Content]
  23. ......also, he said that mayor Nagin said that Katrina had passed and the levees broke after that. Well....D-U-H!!!!!!! After heavy rains, it takes a couple days for bayous, streams, and rivers to CREST!!!! No wonder he is no longer the mayor. Oh yeah, isn't he in jail? Please connect the dots.
  24. Didn't he say that the bombing of the levees was a rumor. Why even mention it? Does anyone on this board believe that those levees were sabotaged? Please raise your hand if you do. I want to see what an embicile looks like. Oh wait, I just saw Farrakhan!
  25. baba, I'm from the old school where you couldn't even touch the receiver at all at any time. Then they started allowing the chuck within five yards. We all know how well that has worked out. When it becomes judgement calls, then there will always be controversy Back in the day when football was really football, the o linemen could not touch the d linemen with their hands as that would constitute holding. It made it more difficult to pass block and put more pressure on the QB to get rid of the ball. The timing had to be exact and the route run perfectly. Not much ad libbing unless you were Tarkenton or Staubach. High scoring games back then were 17-10. Now it is nothing to see scores in the high 20s and 30s. People wanted more offense so they legalized holding but at the same time allowed the receiver to be chucked. Conflict of interest if you ask me. Now, we can bump and run, hand checking all the while, and cry when a flag gets thrown. The judgement calls will be seen both ways, depending on which team you follow. What gets me is the fans who cry...."all he did was grab his jersey". Well, sometimes that's all it takes.
