  1. Your body needs certain amounts of fat. The problems arise when individual's bodies don't process it well, especially if you are already obese. Everything not used by the body is converted to fat. At least that's how I learned it. It may have changed with the new regime.
  2. Hate to say it but that's another King novel.
  3. I'm not what you would call well read, but I do like me some Stephen King. Sometimes I can read a page then wonder what I just read. Very frustrating. Have read quite a few of his books though.
  4. You've read quite a lot if you have read everything King has written. I have not. I have Revival sitting on my table right now. One thing about King, if you start to read, chances are you won't put it down. Second one I liked after Insomnia was Desperation.
  5. I like Stephen King. Many don't know Shawshank was written by King. I've read more of his books than any other. I read The Green Mile before the movie came out. Bruce Willis saw Michael Clark Duncan acting somewhere and knew they were casting for the Green Mile. He called the casting director and said, "I got your John Coffey". Everything else was the way I pictured it in my mind, from the green mile to "old sparky". The characters fit to a tee also. King is a master storyteller. Makes you a fly on the wall. Try reading "Insomnia". It's long but well worth the read. Back on topic, another movie I always seem to watch is The Book of Eli, which I saw today.
  6. Hey nappy, you see any blood on these dead Kurds? Google....Sadaam gasses kurds and click on images. (wouldn't let me copy/paste)
  7. Again with the WMDs? Reb, everyone knows Sadaam Insane kissed the Kurds to death.....to the tune of over 250,000.....almost an Idi Amin. Some people find themselves "defending" the dems against the fact producers.
  8. Wife just saw on Facebook that downtown Beaumont got hail. I must be a gapper.
  9. Your three plus War Games, Big, The Silence of the Lambs, The Green Mile, several more but I'm drawing a blank.
  10. I live on Hillebrandt Road. Lots of rain but can't say whether or not it hailed. Drove through a downpour south of Winnie yesterday. All weathermen missed this one big time. Where are you located?
  11. In the movies, instead of dropping the "F" bomb, when dubbing over it, they say "forget you", which is what I thought when I read the thread title. R.I.P. Mary Anne. You left us feeling better.
  12. I've never heard that.
  13. Was anything in the article false?
  14. Sweet running machine. I restarted it several times thinking it had died. Learned to step on the gas first.
  15. If you click on the pic, it will start a slideshow and show the whole car.
  16. So does a fart but it means absolutely nothing.
  17. ^^^^^^^double posted.... Gee, I thought more than one person had to be polled to get a "feel". Silly me.
  18. Your poll is not scientific and don't call me dude.
  19. Let's see....9 out of 10 Indians don't mind the Redskin logo. Going with the 90% doesn't work in a democracy. Wait a minute, it's supposed to and the 10% is supposed to deal with it. Crybabies!
  20. [Hidden Content] This was my car. Mine was a darker red with a red interior.
  21. I don't recall it being Indians who were complaining. Someone from the left with nothing else to do.
  22. Me too. I'll have one after lunch.
  23. The Nova was my first car. Always have a soft spot for the first one. Would really like to have my fifth car again. A '79 Datsun 280ZX. Last year it was called Datsun. 1980 it became Nissan. I'll find a pic.
  24. Fits you to a tee.
