I’m trying to make the point that you are always going to find someone who doesn’t agree with what is in a bill. I remember Schumer giving the fist pump to the $4 trillion infrastructure bill. Who gets that excited about infrastructure? Do people in the Rockies and Appalachia have internet? Are there charging stations on every corner? And that’s just a couple examples. The thing is, lots of people were against it, but it passed. As long as congress is passing bills, we are simply going to have to deal with it. Yours or my complaining will change nothing.

My mother died in 2019 at the ripe old age of 95. She never saw the inside of a nursing home and could still get around with a walker. She still would try and take a switch to you if you got smart. First of all, just because you are military, don’t act as if we, on the right, don’t care about veterans. The left never show up on the Memorial or Veteran’s Day threads to give prayers or thanks for their service, so don’t EVEN go there. The VA hasn’t been good to veterans for years. 25% of the workforce at the VA is actually veterans, and the ones laid off were probationary. I hate to see anyone lose their job, even people I don’t particularly care for. Trump and DOGE saw waste at the VA and made their cuts. Why not wait and see if it works out better for the veterans who depend on it. It probably needed streamlining and it will all work out.
