  1. At this point I hop HF beats OF so that OF will face La Marque in the first round. If OF wins that's awesome, if not, it will give HJ some idea how effective that style offense will be against La Marque in the THIRD round.
The 1-3 seeds of our district should all get Ws in the first round.

agreed, I think OF will have the best shot to beat lamarque out of the bottom 3 in our district, anybody remember what the score was last year I think they played in the first round
  2. 4 years ago almost to the week, WO-S was gearing up to play it's first game in 2 weeks. Two weeks prior, as everyone around here surely remembers, their starting QB Reggie Garrett had passed away on the sidelines of one of their games. It stunned not just the area, but the whole state. The next weeks game was cancelled so when they resumed play, it was a home game for WO-S, and it was against Kirbyville. Oh man I'll never forget it..... ~ WO-S received the opening kickoff and the receiver was tackled. What happened next brought tears and cheers across the whole stadium. The players for both sides took the field but something was a little odd. The play clock started, but the WO-S players just stood there with their hands held out. It took a second to sink in, but it seemed like everyone in the stadium realized what was going on all at the same time. They were holding out one finger on one hand and two fingers on the other...signifying a '12'. That was Reggie's number. They were out there with only 10 players......no one at the QB position.....and were going to let the play clock run down prepared to take a penalty in honor of their fallen teammate. Both bleachers came alive with cheers and crying and applause in approval and appreciation of what was going on. The clock ticked down and the penalty flag was thrown, but in a show of sportsmanship, Kirbyville declined it. It was an awesome thing to see that I'll never forget. I just wanted to share it..

remember like it was yesterday rip Reggie 112%
  3. I remember last year I told you that WOS would beat HJ in football, basketball, and baseball. I believe we did in ALL THREE. Funny, you should mention baseball. I remember playing your team in PONY and I believe we NEVER lost to you. We won Director's Tourney and Zone championship over you. By the way I would never type in bold red. I really can appreciate your alligence to your team. Tradition does mean something on Friday nights when a team gets up on you a couple of scores and they have beat you 10 years in a row. Who have you beat with any tradition?

just thought the baseball comment was funny we played them twice this year on our way to Dallas they didn't even score on us(thru my few years they are usually pretty good though)
  4. WOS does need to make changes on offense. Their offense is not designed to make plays. From what I have seen over the years wos's offense relies on the players to make a super human effort for them to work. That will work against the lesser teams but when a team matches WOS 's talent and speed it won't work. I know no one wants to hear this but the difference between us scoring 7 offensive points agame and the 40 a game we scored last year is Dillion making the plays work. If it wasn't for DT playing balls out we wouldn't even get the 7. At this point in time jack can't make those plays. Thompson has to stop expecting him to. WOS plays 10 straight games with a break in week 11. If they keep going at the pace they are going they will limp into the playoffs and that's a scary thought.

+1 we have to stop getting our young qb exposed he is not gaining anything from this
  5. If Ozen had a district like WOS's they'd make the playoffs every year too...the point you're missing here my friend is beating local teams have boosted WOS fans ego's, when in reality you guys aren't an elite 3A team as many of you on here suggest. Every year you guys make it to the playoffs you continue to prove my point. (Ex: Navasota, Gilmer, Carthage, Coldsprings, Waco La Vega, Giddings, Wimberely) Teams that are just as good as WOS somehow you guys always end up falling short, you WOS fans should see the common denominator here

none of this matters to me .what does is will wos beat ozen the answer is yes just about every year
