ummm it's 11-0 but yeah I get ur pointI would not brag W0-S, I think you have only played HJ 8 times and only won 8 times. Good luck throughout the playoffs. Humm, seems like a few weeks ago, I heard a few WO-S people complaining about old fashion coaching. I say you have the best coach in the state.
-
part of that u got wrong cuz wos is ranked behind hj state and locally lol jk I know what it sayingalright, i'm really done. i've stated my case too many times. WOS, great game, great team, deserved win. HJ, tough break, hard fought, and showed for large chunks of the game you can go toe to toe with one of the best in the state. Very proud of the hawks and how far they've come, and very impressed with the stangs and good they are. good luck to both moving forward, and hopefully we meet again in a bigger venue with better refs. I have to get out of this thread before i develop carpel tunnel, or have a seizure, or do both. While I disagree with what the final scoreline should've been, and have gone back and forth with several of you guys, WOS fans absolutely should be proud of their team and feel like their team deserved the win they got. If you've responded to me, i'm not going to read it, because it will only start me up again. time to go sight in the .308 and make sure i'm ready for deer hunting this evening. adios, and God bless. oh, and see you guys in some HJ threads later ;) It's killing me not to go look at the 7 new replies already made.

How are the 22 unanswered points scored by WO-S after HJ scored in the second half accounted for?
the phantom punt don't get em on that again
-
the first sentence here sums it up,I seen it point blank and so did ur whole team but it's all goodNever and I know the HJ coaches would not do that. I've coached there are times I have had to set stuff down to keep it from flying and that is not on the HS level. I have also been the official in many games and have seen frustration taken out on hats, headsets and towels many times. If the asst coach threw a hat I can assure you it was not at a player.
-
so now u saying that's something different than they usually do run the clock out so if we would have then gave up the middle they would not take it smh yea they wouldHJ was going to runt he clock out. Content with going in down 14-7, knowing they were gonna get ball at half.
-
never I understand that part but u should have told coach t he would have handled it right then just for u lol,now tell me when a grown ass man should throw his hat toward a kid in frustrationOk I will put it in a question format. Name me one scenario where a high school player is justified making a slide comment to an opposing coach,
-
Wos is better than hj and that's all that mattered this week now go focus on liberty they are hungry for a w I'm hearing
-
sounds as bad as an assistant coach throwing his hat except it was a kid ur referring to and the coach was an adult smhTD spin how you want I was there, players will mouth and jabber to each other, I get that but I was on the sideline close to half and heard 2 separate WOS players direct snide comments to our coaching staff. (And yes I can quote the comments) sorry in my book that is lapse (not lack because I know Ciach T would not stand for it) in discipline... You treat the opposing coaches as they are your own
-
next paragraph u assumed hj would score so yes assume we scoreassuming they go down and score. HJ's d had several stops without the help of penalties, and perhaps they were good calls?
-
good view about sums it upHow can people say 7 points were given to west Orange. I heard for over a week how good HJ defense is. And if that were true they would have stopped the Mustangs from scoring after the punt play and taken the momentum back. That's what great teams do. HJ is a good team, not great. And Like i said before HJ hadn't played a team close to the Mustangs talent and it showed last night.

like u said in ur post 1 or 2 drive killing penalties I know u hj fans don't wanna hear this but if that's the case give wos 14 points and we give hj 7 more.do u like that better, didn't think so,just drop it so y'all don't stick yalls foot in da mouth anymoreHJ had two plays account for about 125 yards. WOS had two plays that accounted for over 100. Still not seeing where this total domination comes in. WOS was better, which I've said several times, but I don't remember all of these drive killing penalties. Maybe one or two, but that's all. Thinking back, i can remember just about every flag, and almost all of them had no real effect on wos. either wos came back to pick up the 1st, or hj failed to do anything after getting a 1st down off a penalty. I'm just having a hard time with the whole attitude of "WOS was clearly 21 points better" from several WOS posters when A) 7 points were given to y'all (which stretched the win to 21), B ) y'all barely out gained HJ, even when continuing to run up yards when a kneel down would've ended it and C) there's absolutely no way to factor in how the game would've played out if the hawks hadnt been put way behind the 8ball at the end of the 1st half, taking them out of their game plan and offense.

very trueAll I know is I would like to see these teams play in a better atmosphere. Way to much confusion. Sometimes we had no clue what was being called on the field.
-
so...is wos who u thought they were u usually give it straight is why I'm askingI came into this game thinking that HJ was one of the top 3 or 4 teams in the region. I left feeling the same way. So I wouldn't say they aren't as good as i thought they were. I picked HJ leading up to this game because as an HJ fan i was supposed to, but i told AAW in the parking lot of the preview show that i kind of expected WOS to win. But i didn't leave this game tonight thinking that HJ wasn't as good as i thought they were. they busted their butts, fought back from an early 14-0 hole to make it a game, and fought through a game-changing call to pull back within one score pretty late in the 3rd, which in all reality shouldve tied it up. some of the final deficit was a result in HJ's one-dimensional offense, but without the gift touchdown that one-dimensional offensive is still a viable play for HJ midway through the fourth. instead, they throw a pick on what for them would've been a running down, and WOS pulls away after a 20-yard TD drive and then a fumble return once HJ was out of the game. So for a team to go toe-to-toe for most of the game with an incredibly talented football team, overcoming several obstacles along the way... I'd say they're still who i thought they were. Not quite in WOS's league, but much closer than in years past, and good enough to beat them if a few breaks go their way.

seems weird of u posting things like this ,even when u know u wrong u steadily pick, when does the bet u lost take effect or was that bet waived off?Score was 14-0 WOS. We score, kick off, and then get a stop.... Then WOS punts, ball is spotted, WOS defense comes out, HJ offense comes out, HJ with the momentum at that time, breaks the offensive huddle, ref closest to the WOS sideline then comes running in saying we touched the ball...... That didn't loose us the game, but it took the momentum away at halftime.... That was big.... We gotta be good enough to overcome.... Gut check right there....

I seen the the big hit by Padgett (sp) live but man he is strong not many people slam tre Baldwin like that
-
I think Of runs the tricky part of the slot t better than hj,hj is bigger and stronger for sure, usually when we play against this o even in the stands a lot of times u can't see who has it,wasn't the case tonight
-
saw it after I posted lolread my edit. i wanted to clarify, and did so before i saw this ;)
-
u said urself it wouldn't have changed the outcomedon't do it. it's not worth it. it's a bunch of hj fans whining about a horrible call they can't change and a bunch of WOS fans pretending the call had little to no effect on the game.
-
am I trippin or was #1 there and not looking for theball thoWatch 12 news blitz when they post it online I have it on DVR they show it twice and like I said it clearly does not touch anyone and the reporters rib the refs pretty hard.
-
good postcrap, i wasn't going to get back on here, and then i do and end up debating 9 more people. the whole purpose of me getting back on here was that in my frustration earlier i failed to do a couple of things. the first was to congratulate WOS on a hardfought win, and the 2nd was to make sure that, despite my complaining about that major call, that i made it clear that i wasn't saying that the refs handed WOS the game. things would've definitely played out differently, but it's impossible to know how. WOS was more than deserving of the win, and likely would've won anyway. That call didn't cost HJ the game, but it cost them a shot at the win, which is what has so many of us riled up. so anyway, congrats to WOS, WOS fans, and Coach T. Your team is the class of SETX as far as i'm concerned, and i'm just glad we finally have a team that can give you a good game. good luck in the playoffs, and hopefully we will meet again in a few weeks with a better crew of officials. now, back to complaining about the punt call!!!!
-
he did throw a bean bag I was on the end of the bleachers right behind him,now I didn't see hj touch it but I think it was #1 was very close to it and not even looking for the ballI wish someone could post a video of that punt call. I also want to see if the side judge threw a bean bag like he claimed. The guys in the booth didn't see it but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. Can't imagine he would lie about that but curious to see....
