5. I havn't followed the draft in a few yrs and have heard they have changed some rules, it used to be in a players advanage to sign with both a D1 and Juco so you would have an option just in case...heres the link to a live feed [Hidden Content]

Ryan Gunhouse - Houston area Albert DD Lot - Ozen Kenny Allison - Central Matison Smith - Nederland Just a few people to look for.
Several Angelina players could go today or tomorrow. Most likely in the later rounds. Ryan Gunhouse ( Clear Creek ) freshman Grant Clyde ( Atascocita) (sp)  freshman Kenny Allison ( B. Ozen ) ( Lamar ) John Tatum ( Lufkin) ( McNeese St. ) Chase Greenig ( Lufkin ) freshman Greg Garcia ( Pfugerville ? ) ( Ark-Little Rock)
Eagle if Angelina had that many prospects why wern't they in Grand Junction playing ball last week??
 7. Congrats to Tim and the whole Ferguson family, seems as if a lot of HS boys went early, more than 1/2 the first round. Did Felts stock fall in the last cpl of weeks, was he projected to go early or where did you get the info on going in the 3rd or 4th rnd, have seen some players drop way back due to a cpl of bad outings....
 8. Did you have your own lights or fish some that were there....
 9.
Is standing up really a catcher's balk?
Absolutley not..
 10. Odd that this late in the yr 4-5 balks called on each, did the same ump call all if so I think he's got a problem with 'nit pick n' The catcher is the ONLY defensive player that has actually has a desinated spot, all others must be 'on the field of play' The catcher may stand on his head but MUST remain in the catchers box until the pitcher commits to the plate...
 11.
I want to first give credit to FW for fighting back after being down 8-2. Higgs is only a Soph and shut the NDNS down and did a great job. I didnt realize it at the time but found out later the balk was called on the catcher Provost. He got out of his stance when the runner went to steal second base then when Stone delievered the pitch got back down in his crouch. I wasnt aware of the rule but it is what it is. Congrats to Coach Stone and the NDNS on a great season and even better playoff run. I was proud as an PNG Alum to broadcast these games this weekend and I hope everyone who got to listen I hope they enjoyed them as well.
From what I'm reading the catcher WAS IN THE BOX but standing and REMAINED IN THE BOX then got down to recieve a pitch, so when did they change the rule, as long as he's >>in the box at the time of delivery. Am I missing something here?????
 12. I would be MOST interested in a trip a little later this summer (snapper season) out of Gal or Freeport, I still have some gear and some GOOD #s out of both ports. NICE Hoo by the way.....
 13. Hmmm, I would try to ask politely for time, if granted I would ask the ump making call to seek help as he clearly couldn't see, if not granted time I would end up on the other side of the fence looking in...
 14. IMO a big blunder was made by NOT making the old causeway bridge a pier, seems as if a few dollars would have been saved along with the causeway bridge has been tested a cpl of times over the yrs with several storms. Don't know whats up with Dick Dowling park BUT the ramp SUCKS, last time I checked it was knee deep almost out to the entrance off the channel, NICE park tho....
you missed the worst call this weekend, the old fake tag without the ball wasn't called, so i guess our locals are even.
Fake tag without the ball could lead to an ejection along with the advancement of the runner if they havn't changed the rule which I dought they have because of the safety factor, don't know the particulars on the hidden ball trick BUT it will backfire with a balk IF not done correctly....
 16. Saw this on Seminoles website last week, great school for some baseball....

 19. The only thing IMO bad about that is sometimes you have a scorekeeper (underclassman) that has no idea how to keep an 'official score book'.... ::)

No hurdling, diving, or jumping over a fielder. You are out for doing this. Some of you may ask why, it is a safety concern so no one gets spiked in the head. With all that said it was amazing how high the runner leaped over the catcher .
Really?  I always understood the rule on that to be you had to avoid malicious contact with another player.  Unless a rule had been changed even with malicious contact the runner is not automatically out, though ejected im sure.
funny story about that actually, 1 of my friends that played football speared a catcher at home plate, he was ruled safe because the catcher dropped the ball... and then thrown out of the game, it was hilarious, he ended up having the winning run too, the other team's coach was freaking out
He should've got the 'double wammy'...BTW the catcher does NOT have to have the ball, its just got to be in flight to him....
