thank you figureitout.. lol

there's two pretty good ones from lumberton, trace freeman (will either play left or shortstop) he played a lot of varsity as a sophomore. and tyler wilson (started in center most of the year during district play as a sophomore) niether one of them are the best in the area, but pretty good all around
-
may not be the best in 22-4A, but cody evans. good blocking ability, and can run after the catch

Is this a serious post? How would speed in the outfield not be benificial? You need to go sit in a corner and think about what you just asked.
i never said speed wasn't beneficial. of coarse it is. but, you dont necessarily need a ton of it to get to balls in the gap.. i've seen several players who weren't all that fast, get to balls in the gap. and then i've seen players with lighting speed that couldn't get to them, just cuz they can't judge a ball near as good..

WOW!!!!! I stayed away for six months hoping the Lumberton winning season topic would not pop up. Boy was I wrong. It wasn't started by a player or fan, but it sure was hijacked by them. Did ya'll not learn from your boasting and gum bumping last year??? Please let your words be spoken on the field this year.
My prediction 5-5 record
My upset prediction Lumberton beats Central 21-20
and just like last year stunner, not one of those people talking about how good the lumberton team will be this year, is a player. they are all fans that won't be quiet..
-
Was that the Raider team that went 6-3 and missed the playoffs by some tiebreaker or something? Eckert at QB?
yeah i believe so. we had to beat ozen by 3 or something like that to go to the playoffs, and we only beat them by like 1 or 2

2000 raiders probaly

just wondering what everyone thinks about this subject. how much does speed matter in the outfield? know several people who arent all that fast, and still can go get most balls in the gap. they can just judge balls right off the bat. agree? or not? let me here what you think..
-
yeah, he is the varsity pitching coach..
-
I am glad that Lumberton is excited about thier team and that they are trying to build some pride, but I will say it again: You need to get some success under your belt and maybe have a .500 before you go talking about a playoff run.
bigdog, he didn't say a word about a playoff run. all he said was that we may surprise some people..
-
yeah the raiders have some very good talent from some juniors. Hunter Howden - 1st Base, Trace Freeman - SS/ outfield, Corey LeMaire- 2ndTyler Wilson - CF, plus some very very good seniors like hussey and macdonough and hare. it just all depends on whether they can put it together next year.
-
oh ok .. lol
-
well, it was actually a win, but i think it was in 2000 for lumberton? (im not sure if the year is right). but we had to beat ozen by like 3 points or so to make it to the playoffs, and we only beat them by like 1 or 2. so we didn't make it in..
