I haven't been too impressed with Gallo. I saw him a few weeks ago in Round Rock, and he still didn't look that good against AAA competition. I would love to see Sampson come back up to the Astros. He looked solid in all his appearances.

Sending Lane to AAA is enough to make me happy!

Growing up in Lumberton and playing little league all that time, I know how crazy some of those parents can get. I also know that certain parents were intrusive and difficult to deal with in many groups at LHS (band, athletics, Raiderettes, cheerleading, etc) when I was there. But, I don't know if it is any more than any other place. Raider09, good luck to you and the whole team. I look forward to going wherever to watch y'all in the playoffs sometime soon! :thumbsup

ESPN2 has bought the rights to the AT&T Corps Classic (A&M vs. Army). It will be at 8 p.m. on the 16th of September.

The aggies would have loved to have Clayton Kershaw, but I am sure being expected to be a top 10 draft pick will convince him to to go pro (as well it should). That is one of the hard things about recruiting baseball. You want to recruit good talent, but then you run the risk that you spent a lot of time going after someone who will go pro.
