Hey Coop, I don't think it will happen now, but it almost happened several years ago when the SWC was breaking apart. There was an interesting article that I read not too long ago talking about it. There was also talk that A&M would go to the SEC and UT to the Pac-10, but as much as Aggies and Horns "hate" each other they wanted to stay in the same conference so that fell through too.

Alvin Brooks, former Lamar Cardinal and an assistant at Texas A&M is one of the names being mentioned to be the new coach at UTEP. Brooks was an assistant at UTEP under Billy Gillispie before moving to A&M with Gillispie. I've heard nothing but good things about Alvin. It would be nice to see a Cardinal in a position like this!
