Parquet a current starter on a Pac-12 team? That was only 5 years ago he was at HJ and he graduated in 2018. McClure is a really good player that scraps to get tons of rebounds and is an excellent free throw shooter if tonight is a consistent thing for him. With this being said you would think with McClure's clear dominance it would have led to Lumberton beating HJ one of these last two years.
Kid is in high school just because he have an off night one game don’t mean anything I do believe if you the best hands down you prove it every game as a competitor but less understand this a high school kid and he is human if he didn’t play well it’s ok I’m sure he will remember this game and be ready next time

Bush is the best to come out of Silsbee. Numbers back it up. If he was the best in the area last year (which is debatable) then why not get the big Power 5 offers that others got (like Hefner)?
But to say he was one of the 10 best to ever come out of Texas, that's just not accurate.
Just because you end up #9 all time in scoring in the state, doesn't mean you are a top 10 all time player from Texas. That's my point about Troy House. All time leading scorer in Texas high school history and you never heard of him. I know at least 50 players I would take before him.
Again, Bush is fantastic player. No doubt. But got to pump the brakes on being a top 10 player all time out of Texas. Way too many players that are better.
I strongly disagree if Bush was 6’1 he would have been able to go anywhere in the country are we looking at what they did in high school or what they gonna do in college because Bush obviously outplayed them in high school look at team accomplishments and he lead that team when he got to high school and let’s look early in college at 5’6 what he is doing going to a power 5 don’t make you better

Decent career for a short guy. I remember when he was young and playing on Silsbee Jr. All Stars. He could light if up then and was never afraid of anything in front of him. I've enjoyed watching him when I could through the years and I'm glad I never had to face him when I played. Good luck to him in college.
Lol Decent for a short guy to my knowledge it’s not many people to do what he has done in a career y’all or short over 3,000 pts in a career 18 best in Texas history and you say decent Woww

Wow. This covers all sports but posted here for basketball. Did the ADs (I.e., football coaches) vote for the basketball honorees? No disrespect to Caesar but did these guys never see a Silsbee game? Bush is the obvious choice but United’s Harrison is on a different level as well. Or even the big fella Loftin from Memorial. Ultimately, doesn’t mean much but still a big shocker and head scratcher.
Congrats to the young man.

31-1 Tigers would go toe fo toe with most teams on that list and might have been better than the state champ Tigers. Remember this is a Tigers team who beat Lincoln, Central, and West Brook by 15-20pts each. They were the only Tiger team I know who was ranked in USA Today!. This was a era of less high schools and 4A would be the current 5A for alot of schools.
He must have a tie with that team I remember everyone on that team and I was in high school with them and I don’t believe any getting significant time in 1995 ijs

1994/95 PA Lincoln
2016/17 Silsbee
1992 Hardin Jefferson
Any of those Great Hebert Teams.
Any suggestions....
Let’s not forget the 94-95 team that split with Lincoln and lost to them in regional finals in overtime the best team Silsbee had pound for pound

Still holding out hope that The UIL allows the tournament to proceed. If they decide to resume the tournament, Yates will be ready to press for 32 minutes. Its the only style of basketball Yates Plays.
FFA say they will be ready too

Interesting. That's my thinking. Yates is good, and I"m not just talking about the bigs, it's the whole starting lineup and down the bench.
And yet, the China Springs' second half success and the fact that Johnson for Wax Life was fairly effective have sort of given me pause. It's not going to be a cakewalk.
I still think they will win, I hope they do anyway. For the honor of Region 3? It's silly but there it is, that prejudice against the Metroplex. And there's "the team that beat the team that beat us" thing. I still claim that French High was the second best 4A football team in Texas in 1975, better than Permian.
I love to watch the 4A kids play. Sort of the sweet spot in high school sports.
I still say with a good guard that can handle the press effectively for 80% of game and some bigs that can rebound that FFA will be a game because Yates didn’t shoot ball really well. Then you have Argyle that’s giving up only 32 points a game since district started and we all know how they had us and slowed down the game in 2017 so it will be interesting I believe. The reason I say this Yates get points off turnovers which most of the time is layups and a lot of second chance points which now they have teams that has size

Wow.
Look at the size of Faith Family. Three 6`7 kids and a 6 `10. Not to mention three "little" 6`5 guys to go along with that. Gonna be one game where Yates won't have a size advantage.
We will you see how good Yates is now. how much better they are then everybody in Region3 these games want be easy one thing I seen the weekend they are beatable handle press and rebound you can play with them and the teams that are left all have that so it’s not a lock

I understand that and have nothing to do with that until Bush was brought into it with a Lie I’m just setting the record straight on that or I would never have commented on the topic
