P A Lincoln was dominant in 4a but P A Memorial is in a era where they play more teams in the Houston area that have combined lots of schools to form lots of powerful teams and they are also in 5a Lincoln was great don’t get me wrong but they did not have to deal with schools combining like they do today I would have loved to see Houston Yates best teams during their solid incredible run vs P A Lincoln best teams that would be classic lots of talent.

I apologize both the vidor and pleasant grove games will be very tough though.

Silsbee will play pleasant grove another scary slot t team the vidor game will hopefully prepare them for that very tough game.

True but (most of the time )the kids that transfer to silsbee is a result of the parents that graduated from silsbee move their kids to other schools and them bring them back I keep referring to Mr Ashton hall who had a silsbee address but went to kountze he wanted to come to silsbee to play and the district and uil would not allow it now Mr Jordan Adams played in silsbee as an 8th grader and finished out at silsbee if the tigers or HJ or any team in our district transferred 3-4 gentlemen at 6’8-6’9 for sports and academics in their senior season or in 1yrs time it would be serious punishments handed out by the uil and the district would probably vote against it if Yates district only has 1 person overseeing the whole district can other districts do the same.

Silsbee is the only team left in South East Texas still in the playoffs

I understand what you are saying I remember when Silsbee had all the tools to win a state title some years ago before they won recently and a big time player from Kountze was set to join them well before the season started But the district and the uil stepped in immediately and shut that down in just saying if they can recruit with no problems then why can’t other schools do it without issues.

There are a few Dallas Schools I see putting up over 100 points as well let’s not crown Yates the champions yet maybe FW Dunbar or Dallas Lincoln or carter will make it to state and recruit some athletic 6’9 and 7’0 that can shoot before the state title game
